Well my honor is high now and my right to rule, I was the Vaigers for a long while, So have a good reputation with most of there Lords and the king. I have started my own Faction now and have a good marshall, Still have a small amount of Lords though, So need to get a few more to join mt Faction, Cheers for the advice..

Is it not possible if there training skill is high enough....

Villages have some use, I would not call them worthless, I always attack bandits ect, and help out when i can, Get your reputation as high as you can and later you can recruit troops from that village when in need of them, Also upgrade the village when you have the cash to do so, Mill, School...ect, I never see them as worthless in the game, as i have got rep up to 80-90 with some villages, Making it easier to recruit better class troops, Handy when your in a war with factions and you loose allot of troops, means less training, When your looking to get straight back into battle. There also cheaper most of the time to by food.

It is still worth doing missions for your village to improve their relationship with you.  At high levels they provide high level troops when you recruit from that village.  I've gotten 8 Nord veterans at once from a village I owned.  You can get 16 Nord warriors at other levels of relationship.  So, build the mill and the outpost so you get extra time to respond if someone tries to loot your village.

Actually, if you've got the Diplomacy mod, you don't even have to bother with this: just set the tax rate to "Low" or "Very Low," and your relation with the village will improve constantly on its own.  Once it gets high enough, set the tax rate back to "Normal."

Save your energy to do quests to improve your relation with more conveniently located villages that you don't actually own.

I'm running the diplomacy mod on mine, I loaned Klethi to a fellow vassal, who was then Indicted for Treason and exiled , Now Klethi has disappeared on mine, no were to be found, Have went back to all the taverns time and time again and i can not find here, have went to the vassal i loaned her to now with another faction and she is not mentioned...

I made my money by battling looters and bandits, Raiding mountain Bandit layers at the start and selling the loot, by doing this you will also increase your Character Renown & Honor Rating, When you get your level up a bit decent, then start hitting Sea Raiders for better weapons and armor also keep raiding there layer for good selling loot, Then Tundra Bandits, but be careful with them as there pretty mean with those javelins, Just keep looting most Bandit layers and do some jobs for guild masters for some decent cash as well, Once your level is decent then join a faction, do some jobs for fellow vassal's and other vassal's. Earn your villages and castles as your level and Renown, Soon as you join a faction as well if you have enough denars open a prodcutive enterprise in that factions city's to bring in some weekly denars. Large groups of Deserters as well are worth battling, you can earn some decent selling loot and denars from beating them, but make sure your a decent level to handle it....

I also like to put some points into Prisoner Management skill, And use a Blunt 2 handed weapon like a Maul or the great hammer , to knock as many bandits or sea raiders out as i can, 15 Sea Raiders can fetch you way over one thousand denars with the Ransom Broker..

Level 41 on the Diplomacy mod, But i spent to much time doing missions and not getting my renown up..... , So have since started a new game and im up to level 22 at the moment..

The wife caught sneking back into the Castle as soon as darkness fall's, making me suspicious ...

Nord Huscarls are a must, great for taking and defending castles, and great on the battlefield......

Or Rhodok Sharpshooters fantastic Crossbows as well.....

Depending on your skills, using a blunt weapon like a maul or hammer during battles to knock troops or bandits out, Make sure you have your prisoner management skill up a bit, Take them prisoner, Sell them to ransom brokers or the slave trader who appears now and a gain in Tilher will get you decent cash, also collect all the loot weapons, armor...ect and sell it on. Do jobs for Guild Master or lords will also bring in cash, then open a few enterprises for weekly cash. Raid bandit layers, make sure you have a few inventory management points, gather loot sell it on.

Well i use the great Hammer and have me 2 handed Weapon Proficiencies skills up over 100, So i do allot on knocking out, Always try and single out the top troops, Take them prisoner, Sellt them to |Ransom brokers for good cash or recruit them and use the to garrisson my castle.
