because when  I started the game I went solo, just killing looters and stuff to gain some money to buy some fancy armour and weapons.
when I finally looked like a fancy medieval knight I joined the Swadians. I start hiring a small army. when I had about 25 troops consistingout of 10 Swadian knights ,some sergeants and some crossbow man,I encountered
an army of Rhodoks consisting out of 104 men and I though what the heck I'll give it a try. Well I defeated  them surprisingly with like 1 dead footman. so I kept fighting mountain badits and the Rhodoks I have now about 39k denars.
but I like to have a nice fancy castle for myself to be more knightly  . but do I need more troops? or can I siege a castle with the troops that I now have?

You can't sneak in. While you can talk to lords in the castle you can't talk to any claimants. You either have to wait until they go to another city or conquer it.

They're often in the lord's hall at a castle as well. But they're never in territory owned by the faction they are laying claim to. So yes, if a claimant is in a castle owned by a hostile faction, you'll have to sneak in to talk to them.
