Since the last update all companions who weren't in my game from the beginning don't have encyclopedia entries and all attribute points are set back...
if you right click on their avatar picture it will show the encyclopedia entry of some other npc.
One of them only says "goodbye to you" if I want to talk to him and then the menu to start an attack appears.
Doesn't seem like a intended feature xD

Tested in Sturgia. Quest failed, family member added to a sturgian clan.

Never happened to me... Didn't know it was possible.

Could it also happen to you, if you play as a woman?

I have the same problem.
Family Feud quests always end up failed, because the NPC gets kicked from the party after the Quest was successful.
PLUS: The family member I helped becomes a nobleman of the fen Uvain Clan. I finished the quest 3 times in 3 different villages in Battania.
Same result every time, so I stopped.
I could check, what happens if I finish the quest in an other region...
