  1. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

    Fluffystein 说:
So does anyone have anything to say about the problems when besieging the replaced castles? Oh and so far I've had the problem with Knudar (they run into a wall) and Unhun (they just stand there and get clustered on the top of ladders).

Yes, that happens to me just about every single time. I just replaced the new (amazing-looking) castles with the old, regular ones...

There isn't much more you can do.
  2. Town auto-recruit : a weird and chaotic tool !

It would be interesting if the AI had noticbly different fighting styles. Maybe not each individual lord, but each faction has a different play style or general tactic. I, too, find my self using the Hold, Cavalry Charge, Main Charge tactic too often with very few losses. This is especially true with my T5 and T6 vaegir archers behind my infantry line...
  3. How do formations work in this game?

I'm curious if the formations will eventually be implimented in the "backspace" control method. I use the backspace method because, as Orgecorps said, the key combinations are a bit confusing.

Sorry, I used the wrong term there. I meant Expanded, not Imroved. Sorry about that mix up.
  5. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

I appreciate the respone again, Duh.
I am using Warband version 1.134 and the [EDIT:]Improved Expanded Mod Pack.

Secondly, I was not expecting the bugs I pointed out to be immeadiately fixed or anything, I only intended to help out your team's "bug smashing" conquest.
  6. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

Thanks for responding, Duh. I sauntered over to the original thread you linked me and post up my report there, hopefully he will fix/add the AI mesh of which you were speaking to allievate the problem.

I suppose I'll post a couple of other bugs I've noticed.

In the Nord Troop Tree the "Nord Hermadur" and "Nord Gesith" are labeled as "A4" and "A3" respectively. These troops, however, are melee soldiers with axes and shields.

I've also noticed that when buying ale for my troops no notification pops up saying any effect has occured. Is ale supposed to increase morale?

I also have had great troubles with the "death cam." Strangely, the mouse doesn't work to move the camera to looks up or down. The arrows keys, assigned in the "Mod Options" menu do not have any effect on camera movement either. Also, this uncontrollability generally happens during sieges if that helps.
  7. SP Native [WB] Warband Entrenched Updated and enhanced March 2011

The only bug I've noticed is the way AI (Both friendly and enemy) act when they are attacking or defending an entrenched location--either a siege or regular camp.
Moving AI within the camp or attempting to set them up within the confines of your wooden spike fortifications almost always leads to AI getting "stuck" in the fortifications themselves and they are endlessly stuck in a movement loop--unable to get out. Attackers, similarly, do not charge towards/through the entrance of the camp. The attackers, for me at least, generally skirt around the outside of the fortifications and then choose a (seemingly) random spot to jam all of their soldiers against the wooden spikes. None of the infantry or horse men get in and, again, are stuck in a constant "movement loop" in which they run against/into the wooden stakes. It is then, fairly easy for my men and I to leave the confines of the spikes and back stab/spear/arrow/slice all of the enemies as they are running into the spikes instead of defending themselves or attacking the enemy--their situational awareness is...non existant in these cases.

This is the only screenshot I have readily available at the moment, but I could take a few more if need be.
This is the defense of a siege camp while attacking a Sarannid castle.
  8. Mount&Musket: Suggestions

    Eiríkr Rauði 说:
Dear Vincenzo. Thank you for taking the time to look into our humble mod. You do us a great honour to have your wise ol' eyes look over things, however I would like to point out that you are entirely wrong in the bonuses. It is not only the banner that gives a bonus but also the horn-call; label it as a 'morale-boosting' effect, as it would do in real-life. Unfortunately, Warband does not allow us to replicate psychological effects upon men so we have to rely upon small increases in gold, health and damage-output [as well as the reverse when in presence of enemy banners//horns] We find that it is enough of an impetus to force teamplay and close melee fighting that is unlike any other MP [or SP] mod.

Besides all this; it seems that some of the MM chaps are finding it most engrossing to actually fight for the defence of the bannerman or the chieftain. I do however know that your great and masterful pride will never allow a feature of Vikingr (Yes! That mod that only three people in the Einherjar play) to slip into MM.

I would also like to point out the server performance issue. We have none, end of.

Fare well, chapstick! I wish not to stick my oar too deep into things here, nor do I intend on clogging up your 'Suggestions' thread, simply replying here to clear up some falsities in your arguement.

Eiríkr, is there no way your two mod teams can't work together? Many MM players would love to see some of your features implemented into MM because of the additional realism and immersion it would provide for us.

Hopefully some past event hasn't embittered you or Vincenzo, but if it has, hopefully you can come to some sort of agreement--if not for each other, [Cue corny Disney music] but for the players!

But in all seriousness, we hope that your mod teams can work together in areas in which the other is not as strong.
  9. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

No one? I've compiled a nice collection of bugs but if no one will even glance at them...I don't see the hassle of trying to help improve the mod by formatting a proper post with explanations and/or screenshots.
  10. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

Can someone from the mod team confirm they read my post?
  11. Bug Reports and known issues v2.4

    Two things!
First, I remember that someone wanted to have a list of "Naked" lords to be compiled. While I haven't compiled a full list, I do have two additions: Barone Kurnias, [EDIT #2: Found another one!] Hersir-consensio Bulba, and Hersir Rayeck, for me, are lacking clothes. (If it matters--Hersir Rayeck's lack of clothes occured during a feast--the others in the castle).

My only other bug report is the way AI (Both friendly and enemy) act when they are attacking or defending an entrenched location--either a siege or regular camp.
Moving AI within the camp or attempting to set them up within the confines of your wooden spike fortifications almost always leads to AI getting "stuck" in the fortifications themselves and they are endlessly stuck in a movement loop. It is then, fairly easy for my men and I to leave the confines of the spikes and back stab/spear/arrow/slice all of the enemies as they are running into the spikes instead of defending themselves or attacking the enemy.

If a video or screenshots are needed, I suppose I could entrench myself with a full inventory of food and wait for a couple days within the enemies borders.

My suggestion for alleviating the player's problems would be to remove the row of spikes that "jut" into the enclosure. (This would mean the fortifcations only consist of a circle of spikes with a 10-foot-wide gap. This would be the easy way out I'm thinking.

[EDIT: I also personally think "Timid" horses should be +1 riding skill required. Wouldn't a horse that is less accepting of a rider be harder to ride? Just a thought.]
  12. [S] Epic Heraldry Mod for Warband

I'm asuming "Epic Heraldry" is dead but in the off chance that you are still around, can you please give us the source codes or maybe the appropriate modmerger files? As with many other people, I really want to combine this with another mod (PBOD, in my case) and as a completely standalone mod, it is currently extremely hard/impossible to make that happen.

Also sorry for necroing, I suppose.
