    Just gonna say it, throughout the dawn of human existence....it's a major disadvantage to fight wars with rules.
  5. There's only one thing I ask the makers of this mod

    Could it be possible to change how weapons,armor, and horses are gained?

    None of it can be purchased/crafted unless your a lord of a castle/town.

    Until then armor and weapons are either inherited(given with certain selections at game start), given through quests and deeds by lords, or looted.


    On a sidenote: possibly make it so you can only upgrade the troops in your party if you have the proper armor, weapon,and horse for their use.

    Take the kendo wii sword movement and mix it with mount and blade.........I've dreamt about a game like that since I was 12.
  7. Nords should have 2h in singelplayer?

    Woad warriors were mostly skirmishers or gorilla fighters, so having armor was a great hindrance to movement. It was a tactical decision to not wear the armor, as for the mysticism nearly everyone was involved in some kind of war painting.
  8. Hiding Behind a Pavise Shield.

    I was under the impression that they would just wear these shields on their backs when in a more mobile battle. Then when going to reload they would just turn their back to the enemy having the shield provide full cover while reloading.
  9. Shield coverage is too wide. Please read before voting.

    I feel like not many of you have played warband's single player game....Archers can pretty much shoot the enemy troops wherever the shield is not. The "force fields" which still don't protect all the foot and head only occur in characters with higher levels of shield skill and they should, otherwise why even have a shield skill. I'm not sure about melee you can test this for yourselves. So, I believe the change from this shield coverage from single player is due to balancing the multiplayer. I think taleworlds should provide server's the necessary options to decide the level of coverage if they do not already do so.

  11. Maintenance thread (bugs, glitches, errors, problems etc)

    Bug: I picked up a quest from burundai baghatai HQ's town leader.  The quest was to deliver 7 barrels of ale to the tavernkeep at Wenden in 7 days. I get to wenden and had to disguise myself because starting as a mongol everyone hates me. Immediatly the game crashes when trying to initiate conversation with the barkeep.

    At first when I found out about the unit morale code I was very much excited in not having to kill every single soldier of an opposing army, which is ridiculous and inaccurate to warfare. Not to mention chasing after horse archers is not my idea of fun. However, the code unfortunately changed...

  14. (268) 268 B.C. suggestions and ideas / item requests

    I finally decided to create an account. I've been playing many mods of mount and blade, favorites including Onin no Ran, 1066, Total War mod, Legions mod/extended. Ive noticed what someone else pointed out in a different area of this forum and it didn't seem to be given any thought. The lack of moral in troops which for accuracy is beyond necessary and for overall game play just as required. I'm quite annoyed by having to fight every last troop they throw at my massive armies which is also the cause of unnecessary losses to a single unit. Also the moral system will fix the issue with phalanx troops forming their circle of death but not killing anything, the moral would cause the other troop to flee allowing the troops to finally hit something. It appears someone else has already designed a hopefully effective process for determining moral. Quoting from 1.9 screenshots thread,
