...and that's why you won.  It's actually not a cheat b/c enemies can hit YOU through all the seemingly solid walls that you can hit them through..and they will, too, if they're close enough to use their weapons.  But yeah,...the 50 Huscarls are why you won.  Ive defended against 2300 men with around 70 Huscarls.

Arrr steal my thunder. But I have never been hit from my point and sword can still hit the side of the wall.
2300men? you got everything set on normal? my god thats good.

An arrow (not a bolt, an arrow) from a welsh longbow could pierce the heaviest armor available at the time.  That's, um...why it's such a famous weapon.

That is true, arrows can pierce plated armor. isn't that why they wore soft garments under neath plate? to help the extraction of arrows? eh.
But I do feel his rage!

Ok you may not like this style: have all you're heavy infantry at the front of the ladder.Try and negotiate you're way around you're men by jumping on the wall. Walk along the wall till you are one gap away from the ladder. get a two-Hander or anything with a lot of reach and swing like theres no tomorrow. You're character will swing over the blocks on the wall and hit the target in the side and since you have you're toughest men at the front there should be no give. You can win a battle 50men vs 700. I have done it. but I did have 50 something Nordic Husculars.

Oh and to answer you're question it could take up to three days.

But as Jarl said; just throw an ass load of recruits in there and you'll see those Rhodoks steering clear of you're castle.

I'll sink my fist into a wall if one more Rhodok sergeant kill four of my Nord Huscular before I can see one sergeant dead! I hate Fighting those bastards...
