The fact is, it was a British idea and maybe a few other countries. But the fact is, the it was a British idea, that may have been developed with other countries.

I was just creating my list as you were posting yours 

But you're wrong. The Queen is the the monarch in 15 other countries, including Canada.
And let's be honest. You can't beat British History, there's so much.
We created football.. Like, the greatest sport ever (no, don't say the Chinese did).
Telephone, TV, Jet Engine, Steam Engine, Light Bulb, Electric motor, Bike, Cashpoint, Syringe - Just to name a few of the British inventions that changed the world.
So tiny yet... (I'll say the word) 'empire'.
