  1. companions should come back to u when escape captivity

This would really be perfect. I reload the game and avoid captivity at all costs just to avoid having to gather the companions back together. I'm missing out on a good chunk of gameplay and RP by avoiding captivity.
  2. Another definitive poll?:Do you like bannerlord?

~400 hours sunk into EA last year I'd be lying if I said the game wasn't good. But that was 400 hours with about 20% of the perks working at the time... see this is the frustration.

My only other complaint is lack of campaign co-op.
  3. who still has hope in TW.

I've been playing Valheim for the past few months. Developed by a 5-person team... game works just fine.

Even better: it's half the price and you can play with friends.

People toss that company money because the game functions fine. Making a functional product is quite lucrative. Hint hint.
  4. My final verdict

I remember the pandemic starting, telling some people "great timing because Bannerlord just got release EA."

Next week I will start my Covid vaccine.

The entire pandemic will have been started and fixed within Bannerlord's EA window. Pretty crazy.
  5. Beta Patch Notes e1.5.6

Is this it boys? Fresh playthrough time??
  6. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

we got bannerlord for 40$ while cyberpunk costs 60$.
i see a big difference in price.
I would just like to point out that Cyberpunk preorder cost me $50. Bannerlord retails for $50. I did pay $40 for Bannerlord because of the EA sale when it launched, but still... for many the two games could have an equal cost.

And I main specced archer characters for roughly 6 full months before ONE SINGLE bow perk was implemented... that meant manually editing xml files after each update just so I can use longbows on mounts.

That's what makes nitpicking Cyberpunk's imperfections so ridiculous to me here....

Right, the wheels on the cars might not spin as nicely as GTA V's wheels, considering GTA is literally about Grand Theft Auto so the focus is on cars. It's like saying "Mario doesn't have quality swords, so Zelda is obviously better." What a shortsighted way of seeing things...
  7. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

Ah, the new skyrim? So it's a bad game?
Lol. The funny thing is the Bannerlord fanbois think these types of statements help their argument.

If you're unable to acknowledge that Skyrim is good, what does that mean about your objectivity? Maybe it's kind of like acknowledging that Cyberpunk is good. We're getting somewhere...
  8. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

    LOL ok I see now.
No, no... you gotta own it. Don't pretend I was trolling.

Accepting the reality of the attention to detail in Cyberpunk, which absolutely should not be difficult to do, is the BEGINNING of understanding why people would love the game. It makes the conversation POSSIBLE. Afterwards, you can commence discussing the imperfections in the physics and so forth.
  9. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

Every video game is digital.... Every game that has a city has a "digital metropolis"... LOL GTA V has a metropolis that is digitally rendered... Did you mean futuristic dystopian metropolis?
Okay thanks for that confirmation. From this, I gleaned: A) Cyberpunk does indeed have " the most detailed, digital metropolis ever designed by human beings, " B) you are unable to say this out loud, which means there is definitely some sort of barrier which prevents you from acknowledging this game, C) both of these realizations make this conversation much easier.
  10. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

I'm not sure what you're trying to say that's at all relevant to what I said or was asking...
What makes it detailed? It doesn't seem like you can even answer that.

Are you sitting at a computer in Warsaw by any chance? lol

I mean look at this buddy:

Oh soooo detailed. Sooo realistic. LMAO

I'm sorry if I sound snarky but come on. It's like you just spit on my cupcake and your trying to convince me that it's frosting... LOL

What makes this game and its world so detailed? I didn't glean that from your response.

Well, like you first mentioned, there is a lot of opinion involved.

" the most detailed, digital metropolis ever designed by human beings "

I asked for a counterexample because if no counterexample exists, then it makes the statement true. It skips all that opinion which takes the discussion nowhere. The above quote is fact.

I don't know why it's a struggle to accept this... it's likely the most expensive game ever made and they've worked on it for around 8 years. Of course the production value will be great.

Again, this doesn't make Bannerlord bad...
  11. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

Pray tell: what exactly is it about Night City that makes it "the most detailed, digital metropolis ever designed by human beings."?
Find a counterexample. You can't. It's okay to recognize hard work.

But here's the secret... just because Cyberpunk is an amazing achievement in gaming doesn't mean that Bannerlord is bad. I know, it's hard to focus on this one core point, but it's possible to appreciate both games.
  12. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

Yeah it looks pretty but is there more then that to it and no it is not close to game of the decade lol I have a GTX 3090 64 GB of RAM and an i9 and I still had issues not to mention that the game cares about nothing that you do but thats worse since its a story game
Right. You already mentioned your specs in this thread. And just like the first time, my reaction will be that 64 GB of RAM, an i9, and 3090 to play Bannerlord just makes you look like you don't understand how PCs work.

Especially since you made it a point to get a refund for Cyberpunk, a game which costs way less than any of those parts.

However, this comment does help me assess the value of your opinion very, very quickly, so thanks for that.

And for the record, it runs perfectly fine on my 3070 10700k at only 1440p 165hz.
  13. At least this is not a Cyberbug 2076

This comparing of Bannerlord to Cyberpunk is absolutely silly. Especially when people feel that they have to trash Cyberpunk as some sort of loyalty display to Bannerlord.

Cyberpunk on a decent PC is literally the game of the decade... the new Skyrim, the new Final Fantasy 7, you name it. I've never played a game with so much attention to detail in my life. PLEASE spare yourself the mental gymnastics of forcing our humble Bannerlord to compare to the game of the decade.

What was the first thing I noticed in Cyberpunk? Saving a game is instant, or at least a background task... it doesn't pause the entire game for 5 full seconds every time. I got 400 hours sunk into Bannerlord... it's a little bit different chasing forest bandits and yearning for perk updates than walking around the most detailed, digital metropolis ever designed by human beings.
  14. Can we have a debate about women without getting it locked?

The suspension of disbelief has nothing to do with historical accuracy. It is up to the content being presented and personal context. I assume you suspend your disbelief in other games - like sci-fi, FPS, etc. and many of those are no where close to being "realistic".

With that, if you (general "you") can't suspend your disbelief because it is a woman leader, maybe that has something more to do with your personal beliefs than it is about the game. Chances are it is 50/50.
All I know is that life is full of ****, and after a long day of work or whatnot, people want to escape into their favorite things.

There are "male" movies and always have been, just like there are female manga genres in Japan, Korean dramas for women, boy bands for women, etc. I like Kyle MacLachlan. In Sex in the City he's just an NPC with a penis, not a multidimensional human being. That's cool, because women deserve their stories too where they're the center of everything. This is so common in storytelling and very effective.

In Bannerlord, adding more women and equalizing their skills to men does make it cool in many places. I like bumping into female lords on the battlefield, or rolling a woman just to marry the hunk with the best bow skills. It's not the same as 2016 Ghostbusters, or weird **** like casting a black woman as Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. It often goes too far, but in this game it seems fine.
  15. Can we have a debate about women without getting it locked?

There's not much of a debate. If TW kept gender the way that it was in Warband, then the game would be open to attack on Twitter.

I don't mind having lots of female leaders, it's interesting in a way. But suspension of disbelief is a real thing. There is always a price to pay when you make something distractingly unrealistic. I wish people simply acknowledged this price rather than pretend it doesn't exist.
