Contrary to most people's replies here medieval footwear is very comfortable and offers fantastic support. Most of us can agree your feet work best barefoot but sharp things are nasty and hurt your feet. Medieval shoes basically protect you from these things while still letting your feet work the way they are designed (this is of course if they are proper medieval shoes, lots of fantasy designs that don't work at all as shoes).
Your choice of Bohemmond's boots is a good one, he makes quality shoes and has done a lot of research. Though the boots he sells off his site are made in the medieval style for the modern wearer he also makes fabulous 100% accurate replicas.
Thirdly I tend to disagree with those saying that the shoes won't be waterproof. Put some beeswax or another sealant on the leather and your good to go (especially with the Scandinavian medieval footwear). The men (and women) wearing these shoes had to go out in the rain just like you and me, and just like us didn't like wet feet. Thus they designed shoes that would be waterproof (to a certain degree like most modern footwear).
I have worn a pair of medieval ankle boots in a heavy rainstorm and the only wetness on my feet was from a hole I had worn through the leather. I walk through puddles in them and have no problems.
