The lack of pay-off by attacking is always going to exist whilst we have such a big turning speed restriction, it has little to do with the latest update. At least the patch has brought back some of crucial rhythm-breaking skills like chambering and reduced stubs by decreasing bayonet length that are required for security in moving forward.
To make the game more attacking it needs to be the turning speed that's dealt with and not going back to pre-patch. It needs an increase so that damage goes up/ becomes more consistent through speed bonus of turning, so that the poor hitboxes are masked, and so that advancing into a surrounded position is a more survivable affair, should the player be skilled enough.
