Hallo! I recently startet playing Warband (with Diplomacy-Mod) again and have a question.

Is it possible to modify the equipment of other lords by cheating? If yes, how would I do that?

I believe that this is a Steam-only issue.  You can try verifying the game files to see if that will help.  I am currently using the Steam version of Warband and have not noticed this issue myself, so it will likely be solved by this.

I actually tried this as soon as I became aware of the issues. Regrettably, it didn't help.

Ah, well... without Warband at least I'm getting some work done. 

My Swadian Character insists on always leading the charge of his knights. He often tries to get at the enemy archers and hack them down with his sword ("Unchivalrous? It's not my fault these people cannot afford a horse..."). My other protagonist is a Nord who has taken King Ragnars sage advice to heart - if you cannot stand in a shieldwall you are not fit to be a jarl. He likes fighting cavalry... mainly because he's partial to horse meat sausages. 

You can skip the tutorial and continue the game by pressing the tab key.

I don't think it's possible to go back to an earlier version via steam. You could download pre-patch Warband from taleworlds as explained here by Spartan_Aury. Tried this myself (as the screwed up economy is quite annoying) but I'm one of the unlucky sods with a 5x5-key and the converter is not working for me.

Every faction has its merits for me but rereading the Song of Ice and Fire novels has put me in the right mood for playing a Swadian lord.

Registered on the forums to report similar issues apparently related to the steam patch. I'm playing Native without any mods.

In my old savegame (about 250 days in) gloves and boots have completely disappeared from the armour merchant stock. New games seem to not be affected by this but the availability of trade goods is. Didn't obverse a bug with town/village - upgrades as my character has not yet acquired any fiefs but noticed that the description of cities seems to stay at "opulent and crowded..." regardless of sieges, conquests etc.
