Some things I want in Bannerlord-Hopefully I get to know if they are confirmed

Prisoners aren't in your inventory though. They're a separate list. Which is how horses should be handled really.

    Hunting in Bannerlord

I like the idea of hunting as a royal passtime. It could be a really neat diplomatic option.
You invite or get invited to go hunting, building relations. Maybe have a group of people, not just a pair. There could be a boar somewhere out in the field that starts running around, and each of the lords would try to get it.

Could also lead to wonderful political moves. Like trying to claim credit for another's kill, or giving them the credit. Or even maybe arranging a "hunting accident".

An additional cavalry command along the lines of: The next cavalry to ride in front of me and ruin my couched lance strike will be crucified and dragged behind my horse.
    I like that idea. lol

But I do like the idea of horses not being inventory items. They're horses. They're CARRYING the inventory!

    War Mechanics and Marshall System

This is definitely something that's needed.

Missions given should reflect the situation. And having the option to scout out towns (sneak in disguised or just camp close enough to get info) would be nice. When allies arrive we could give them a bonus to any actions against the location.

Please give us Early access for pay!

I would love to be able to take part in Early Access and help test the game. I'm sure I could break all sorts of things. lol

    Cheats + Cheatmenu and everything

Yeah, I definitely hope to see cheats again. Hopefully improved ones, like being able to raise rep with lords/factions/towns.

But naturally, if you turn on cheats, then disabling achievements makes sense. Not that it really matters, as achievements don't really count for anything. :p

    Some criticisms

Having weapons able to hit more than one target at a time is definitely something that I'm looking forward to. I'm playing Warband right now, and I'm getting so frustrated at my huge two handed sword only being able to chop down one peasant at a time.

That being said, I do agree it needs to be balanced. Maybe it could be a strength vs penetration type of thing?
So three peasants in a row? Go through them like butter.
The middle guy's weapon heavy armor? Then the first guy hit is screwed, the metal guy in the middle could end up going down, but he would have absorbed most of the power from the swing, so the third guy is saved by his friend.

Of course, as we build up our character, we should be able to improve our strength at chopping down multiple enemies. And it shouldn't just be two-handers, but they would naturally have a higher power value (at the cost of speed).

What Faction will you Fight for? [Poll]

    Whoever looks most "knightly".
  9. Lord Blade

Wars, Rebellions, Defecting Lords, and other mechanics

    I like the ideas.

Though I don't think lords should disappear if their faction is gone. It would make sense for some to join up under other factions. And maybe a few could start up mercenary bands... and even one day try to reclaim land for themselves.

I do really want to see a vassal system. We should be able to have more options than just being at peace or war with someone, and them either being there or being wiped out.

    Suggestion - Mercenaries for Villages

I like the merc idea. Especially with the thought of various merc bands roaming the lands, being hired by whoever can pay them.

[Poll] Co-op, why it's possible and why we should have it.

I don't know why they'd have to cut content to add in co-op. I mean, I don't really care about co-op, as I doubt I'd ever end up playing it. But really, it shouldn't be hard to implement.

Everything would work the same as single player, except for the passing of time. Simply put the game would go at the speed of the slowest acting player.
So if everyone's travelling, then the game would be going at that normal pace. If someone's in a scene (in town or talking to someone) the game would slow down or pause for that (telling all other players why).
If one person is choosing to rest, they would basically be sat there until other players allowed game speed to go that fast.

Admittedly the more people playing, the slower things would have to go in general. But really if you're playing co-op, you're most likely only playing with a friend or three, so it's not like you'll have 20 people all trying to manage things at once.

Features you want to see in single player Bannerlord

I'm sure there's a lot of my ideas that have been mentioned, but it's a massive thread, so excuse me for not going back through it all. But things that I'm very much hoping to see in this game...

    Combat Related:

    - Sweep/cleave attacks letting us hit more than one enemy at a time (basically everyone in the range of our swing)

    - Morale: Troops having morale broken and running in battle (taking out the lord if present would be a huge morale hit). Also have friends get enraged when an ally is taken down (so if two friendly lords are in battle and one goes down, the other one gets a morale boost to get revenge).

    - Enemies realizing they can't win. Like that castle with 50 troops in it surrounded by your 600. They should just give up and live.

    - The ability to push your way past allied troops (so you're not just blocked by a wall of friendlies)

    - Climbing ladders (like an actual climb animation and all, and being able to swing upwards or kick down while on a ladder) instead of everything just being ramps

    - Ability to raise and push back siege ladders (pushing one over would be bad for anyone on it, but the more people climbing the ladder the more troops needed to push it over)

    Diplomacy:

    - Having relation boosting options like gift giving and compliments (that work with lords and ladies) instead of hoping someone might have some inane quest to do to get a point of likeness

    - Being able to challenge people to duels. Could be a friendly sparring match with a friend to heighten friendship or a duel to avenge an insult or slight with someone who's an enemy. Winning a duel could also fix bad relations as it would essentially settle grudges (if the people involved are honorable).

    - Having a massively improved diplomacy system. Having more than just war and peace. Defensive pacts. Trade agreements. Coalitions. Alliances.

    - Notable personalities to lords. Honorable ones who always do as they promise, jump in to help you when they can, honor deals. Dishonorable ones who will flee a battle if the tide's against them, abandoning allies, or who might actively work against allies to try and improve their own standing. Caring lords who help the people or cruel ones who will pillage and plunder without thought.

    - Different ranks within factions (each faction possibly having their own ranking system). So there'd be the leader of the faction, and perhaps 2-3 high lords, with lesser lords under them. Maybe have a way to try and gain more power within a faction (an actual diplomatic system, not just being the lord's friend and getting to do what you want). Moving up and down the ranks.
A warlord would be responsible for being on the front lines. Leading the troops and focusing the assaults.
Strategists could help decide overall strategies or where to attack, who to ally with, working out peace/war/ally/etc with factions.
A spymaster could be in charge of all the espionage, reconnaissance, assassinations, etc. Either sending agents or handling some major plots personally.
An administrator or prefect could be in charge of the trade and commerce of an empire. Working out where the budget it being spent. Making new deals, establishing trade routes.

    - Vastly improved courtship system. Allowing things like balls and dating and gifts.

    - Being able to build up reputation with towns/castles by donating funds/items to them (instead of hoping for a random quest you can do, though you'd still have quests for big rewards).

    - Improved ally system. Having events with followers. Bonds that grow over time and through actions like helping each other in combat. Personal events that you can take part in to improve a character and learn more about it.

I'd also like to see a varied system of roles.
Be a wandering soldier or mercenary, where you can be hired by factions/towns for missions or protection. You would work for whoever hires you, and could end up being a favoured merc company of a faction, and possibly hired in to their standing army over time. Or you could just work for the villagers around the world, ending up like some sort of Robin Hood figure to them.
You could also just be a brigand/raider/pirate. Plunder and pillage what you can and be a thorn in everyone's side.
Being a sworn sword of a lord, so you're essentially the equivalent of a companion, who just goes where the lord goes and sometimes gets sent on errands.
Becoming a minor lord, which is mostly like the normal gameplay we're used to when we don't own anything.
Becoming a major lord who owns territory and is responsible for it.
Establishing yourself as your own lord and starting your own faction.

    Quality of Life things:

    - Let us choose a non-combat outfit. I remember there being times when you're in a castle talking to a lord who's in all his finery... yet you're still standing there in plate and heavily armed. I'd like to see a detailed clothing system, where we can buy and equip clothing from different styles (and generally have to travel to find rarer outfits of various factions). Let us look as snazzy as the lords we're chatting up when we're not out in the field.

    - Give the towns some life. It's so sad seeing villages and castles with like 5 people wandering about aimlessly and very little else. There should be TONS of people in villages milling about, going shopping, working fields, etc. Make the game look like it's not just some barren wasteland.

    - Make merchants stand out. Don't just have a guy standing in a wooden stall that looks the same as the dozen others in the village (except that there's someone standing in this one). Give merchants big signs and displays so that they stand out. They need a better ad campaign dammit!

    - Customizable gear. Let us choose to customize our equipment. Have designs engraved in them. Choose colours for cloth and leather bits. Let us choose the look of a helmet. Hell, we should be able to have gear tailor made for us if we can afford it.

Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 3 - Unexpected Parties

The game's looking cool so far. I can't wait to see it in action.

    I have a few questions:

    1) What will the system requirements be?
With the new graphics, will they be much higher than the previous games?

    2) How are large scale battles being changed?
Will we see larger forces on the field at one time?
Will there be better commands and tactics?
Will we be able to tell units where to go on the map, or will it still basically be charge/follow style commands?

    3) Is the RPG system being improved?
Will there be more personalization? More quests and side quests? More character interactions?
    Any chance of relationships?

    4) How will territory work?
Will we still be able to just stomp over castles once we have big armies?
Will there be any better "empire building" options like many of the mods for M&B have added?
