  1. Fencing videos

Goes to show I know nothing past empty hand and Bo.
  2. Fencing videos

Like in any martial art, you have your fundamental strikes/grapples and your counters. All arts have a HUGE variety of moves, nobody can really perform all of them. In most fights (be it sparring or real) the fighters use the fundamental cuts and blocks/parries, while those counters are kept in reserve for an opening. So you probably wouldn't be using ALL of those counters in a fight.

BTW, those videos were awesome, the costumes were great, the setting was just perfect and the music went very well with them.
  3. Being Shot in the Heart is a Messy Affair...

Bolts and Arrows do piercing damage in M&B, which means they do more damage thru armor than other cutting weapons. So it is only logical that a crossbow bolt would to a lot of damage.
  4. Version 0.901 Bug List

    13. Lords appear to be happy to attack their fellow Lords and Caravans of their own nation. They'll even lay siege and raid their own settlements. May be restricted to the Vaegir and Rhodock factions

Its not limited to Vaegir or Rhodocks. I just witnessed Lord Haeda (Nords) besiege Sargoth (Nords). Just pointing it out.
  5. About Books in .90x

From what I've seen you do not need to camp out to read a book. Once you go to camp/takeaction/read a book, and choose a book, you will always read it when you are resting. Regardless of wether you are in a town or in camp. Hell, I got thru de re Militari while besieging Radoghir castle.
  6. Can anything be be done about cracks?

Mount&Blade doesn't come in a CD... so why would a noCD crack affect it?
  7. a link to the past

From family names and history on my father's side I came from Spaniards that moved to Puerto Rico to work the fields. On my mother's sidesI come from a well to do Spanish bourgoise family. Though part of my surname and some physical features indicate moorish influence, which would be expected as the moors heavily colonized Spain. So, I'm part Spanish part Moor and 100% mixed breed puertorrican
  8. Ooops... That was the King? Wow.

Better yet, instead of escaping every time you fight em take them hostage and ransom them out to their king for a hefty sum of money, if its one of the nobles. If it is the king, then take him to the king on the opposing side for an even larger sum of money.
  9. Abstract Siege + Engineer

I've used the search button, found a ton of stuff on sieges and what not but couldn't find this in particular, and I didn't want my post to be buried in the 12th page of a 2month old necropost. Well, probably not only my idea but I was thinking (uh oh)... is there a way (using the module...
  10. Con-Artists caught in Mod Community

Article Here What do you guys think on this?
  11. SP Native Extra NPCs Mod v1.601 for M&B v0.751 (updated 23rd June)

Aye, tried out the mod must say it works fine.

Game is actually much harder now, it takes longer to level up these guys compared to the regular hirelings, and they are a HUGE money pit since you have to use up so many denars to equip them properly.

At least you don't take any loses in battle which kinda makes up for all that hardship.

I find the most useful NPC to actually be Marta, even though she sucks in combat her healing skills help greatly between battles.
  12. SP Musket Era 1628 version 2 finally uploaded

Two handed swords WERE still in use, but mainly by specialized units. Like the German Landsknechts, which used the zweihander sword, basically a more elaborate and smaller two-hander, and the Scots still used their famous Claymores.

But yeah, two handed swords weren't the norm.
  13. SP Musket Era Musket and Rapier MOD

Liebeu(sp?) doesn't listen to regular cavalry or infantry commands. All heroes only listen to "Sargeant" commands, F5 if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Mounted crossbow

Hmm, looks like there will be a mod with dragoons (handgun cavalry) in the near future
  15. Sergeants

    Fellows sounds good too
