    Suggestions and Critique

Some of the poems aren't appropriate (e.g. All the Silks of Veluca). Would you like me to replace them with genuine twelfth century poems? There are plenty of things that would be appropriate (such as a troubadour poem for the troubadour). Obviously the ladies' replies would need to change too but I could volunteer my services for that too. PM me if you are interested.

    (version 1.134) Spelling errors

When completing the "Make sure two lords do not object to peace" quest, if you refuse payment from the guild master the following text comes up: "You are indeed an extraordenary person, sir, and it is an honour for me to have known you. You not only did what was impiossible and..."...

    The Evolution of Warband

This probably belongs elsewhere, but the there are two things I would like to see in the upcoming patches:

More Heraldry; There is currently one coat of arms per Lord, which means that as soon as you get a coat of arms one of the other lords ends up doubling up. It is also a little silly that when I put Alayen up as a Lord he ended up with the Kingdom of Nords' coat of arms.

Titles based on the amount of Land owned; Something like landless = Sir, owns a village but nothing larger = Lord, owns a castle but nothing larger = Count, owns a city = Duke. Ladies married to Counts or Dukes should probably be called Countess or Duchess (which would also help in terms of knowing who to butter up).

You know you've been playing too much Warband when...

You go to bed at night and when you close your eyes you see a pair of horses ears.

(yet another) return of Zendar thread

I'd rather see Zendar start as a set of ruins (the ancient capital of Calradia), and have a "Build your capitol" quest for right to rule points once you have become Queen/King.

    Household Meanless

Well, there is already the option of pulling out of a battle if somebody who likes you attacks. Any further restrictions on family attacking you should be reciprocal (for instance if your father-in-law won't attack a city with his daughter in it, you shouldn't be able to attack a city with your mother-in-law in it, which would make things difficult when taking the last city of an enemy).

    The best

Nord Archers are way better than Vaegir.

Whenever I lay siege to a castle held by Nords I make sure I spend a long time under their walls exchanging missile fire. Their extra range isn't a factor, and they do little damage so I usually come out well ahead in the exchange and I usually make some inroads into their footmen.

Anyone know the origin of the Rohdoks is? like what they are based on?

    Apparently Italo-Swiss...
check wiki "Nobility of Italy" you'll get appropriate ranks, too lazy to do it myself.

I have put in Italian ranks for Rhodoks above.

    What's your kingdom named?

    Nodscouter 说:
Before I become big Enough, I usually name my Kingdom after my first city(County/Sheikhdom/Jarldom of Dhirim/Whatever), and then when I become larger, I rename it mostly after my characters origin(Sarranid: The Caliphate of...)

I usually start off with the City name and then change it to Empire of Calradia.

    NEW FACTIONS

If I were going to add more factions I'd keep moving East. An Indian faction, a Chinese faction and a Japanese faction in that order.

Another option would be a Byzantine faction.

With the Mongol names it is a bit tricky because I couldn't find female equivalents.

With females the female equivalent of the husband's title is used (Duke Klargus' wife is a Duchess), but daughters are merely "Lady"

confer nobility titles according to renown or fief.

In terms of changing Heraldry based on rank what I would suggest is that the heraldry itself doesn't change, but the way it is displayed changes.

One possibility is to have the type of banner your army uses change depending on rank. The only rule of I am aware of historically is in Scotland, where the size of standard you were allowed to use was based on your rank. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heraldic_standard for more.

The other bit about heraldry that changed with rank was the "achievement of arms", which are basically those fancy drawings of the coat of arms with animals on either side, a motto on the bottom and a crown on top. I'd go with something like Lord or knight gets a helmet on top, Baron gets a motto, Count gets supporters and Duke gets a mantle, but that's a lot of effort for something that is purely visual.

I agree with you on he other stuff lanceor and will get back to you on that.

What nicknames do you have for lords?

The only nicknames for Lords that I have are for the Lord with the Green and White checks as his device, whom I call Lord Tablecloth, and Lord Gutlans, whom I call Lord Gutless (he spends most of his time raiding my villages in my game).
