  1. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

Hello, i have informed the devs about the issue and forwarded this thread. Thank you both for taking the time on this issue.
    Thanks, appreciated.
  2. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

Thank you for your help, time and knowledge momo1. I have decided to use my ability to be patient and wait for what the devs say and/or a patch that cleans up the memory leak. As I see it as the only issue playing this one game. With one of your suggestions, playing the game in windowed mode and having task manager up to monitor the system; it has allowed me to play for an hour minimum instead of 10 minutes before the entire PC freezing. I doubt I will be able to get 4 hours out of it anytime soon without it frezzing but I'm happy with what I have. I'm sure patching up the memory leak is the most costly, time consuming difficult issue to solve or it would have been done ages ago. As I'm not a coder I just have to speculate to make myself feel good that I've bought this game and have been having problems with it.

  4. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

Playing with the graphics settings set to low and waiting to see if it will crash, is just to see if it's a hardware or a software issue. Was your old OS also 20H2? And how did you install your drivers, through Windows Update, the manufacturer's website, or through one of those tools that do it automatically for you?
Everything besides the GPU is done automatically. However I recently spent a good while trying to update everything manually only for it to say I have the latest drivers.

The last OS I had was windows 7. I've been using win10 since 2016.
  6. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

Switch it to high performance. Are all of your RAM sticks totally identical?
Which feature version of Windows 10 are you using? (EX. 1909, 1903, 2004)
Open the program winver if you don't know.
Try playing the game with only 16gb of RAM using the two new sticks you bought, using very low in game video settings. Make sure the RAM sticks are in the right slots.
Apparently it's always been on high performance coz for the life of me, I don't remember changing it to that.

It's clearly a memory leak. But thanks for your continued help. Nothing to do with my hardware. I know you're going through everything to tick all boxes. But if this is happening to ONE game out of the many, can't be a hardware problem unless someone has installed AI an it's specifically not allowing me to play Bannerlord. Also I tried playing it again with the windowed version plus task manager up and I'm getting no issues....currently. Though my system uses 4gb not gaming. But playing that makes it go as high as 11.1gb and just recently 12gb.

The ram sticks have to be identical or they won't work. Switch it to high performance won't do much other than have the pc overheat. Can't afford to lose this PC currently or wouldn't have this problem as would just buy a more modern replacement. As for the version 20H2 (OS Build: 19042, 804). Weirdly enough for the life of me I already tried that, thinking the ram sticks I had before the upgrade was not working properly, still had the undesired effect. Then my pc wouldn't recognise all 4 sticks, so I had to swap around the order there were in, and it worked. For some reason the graphics setting as low as possible is a joke for this pc as it does nothing but make me enjoy the game less. Like if I wanted to play a 2010 or below game, I would try Warband or even Age of Empires (AoE is a fantastic game, but can't enjoy it anymore as been spoilt with decent graphical games....even though I don't really play graphic intensive games, except for Cyberpunk 2077).

How much watts is your power supply? And is your Power Plan on Balanced or High Performance?
    Balanced and 750 Watts.
  10. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

I put the screen on to windowed and had the task manager up. I was able to play for a whole 4 hours which is my new personal best for this game. The highest the ram got to was 11.1 and the lowest was 9.5, also the GPU was at max using all 4GB dedicated but none of the shared and it reached temps of 80 degrees. CPU was at 49%. SSD was barely being used 1% for a few minutes. Hopefully I can recreate this for at least a week, then I will know I have to play it in windowed screen as that and task manager is the only thing I have done differently in all the time I have had this game.
  11. In Progress Randomly freezing the entire PC 95% of the time.

I just reread what you said before, it might be a memory leak issue. My game doesn't ever go above 4gb. I also found someone who is having the same problem. https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?threads/ram-leak.440212/
Try playing in windowed mode with task manger opened on the side so that when your PC freezes, you'll be able to see how high your CPU and RAM usage is.
Also can you also paste the events from the "System" tab, but this time don't check the box labeled "Warning"

Your hardware sounds good and is above the Minimum Requirements. Are there any folders in "C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\crashes"? If yes, then upload it to Taleworlds by following the instructions in the link below. Start by the "How to Send Save Files" section and make sure to put a link to this thread and your username in.

    https://forums.taleworlds.com/index...h-uploader-and-how-to-send-save-files.437993/

If you want it taken care of quicker and you're OK with a non-Taleworlds person looking at the crash files, upload it to Google Drive and post a link. Taleworlds might take longer to help you because this is an issue that affects one person, not multiple. Also, do you know for sure that when you play the game, your RAM usage keeps on climbing, or did you add RAM just to make sure that it wasn't the problem?
I didn't realise it could be a memory leak before upgrading from 16gb (for Cyberpunk) to 32gb. However having a look now, the highest it will reach while playing Bannerlord is 8gb or 7.9gb to be precise.
