Hi, we run a server for native dm, and we are facing some problems recently. Lag spikes occur frequently after we get more than 40 players.
I have checked the internet bandwidth for the server, and the traffic with 40+ players is only about 5-6 Mbps, which is far from being able to saturate the bandwidth. RAM and IO of the server are not saturated as well.
So my guess is the CPU being the bottleneck.
I am wondering if anyone knows how powerful the CPU needs to be in order to host a 100 players server? Our server runs on a Linux box with 2.4GHz Xeon E5-2630L cores.
(Or may be this is due to Linux+Wine combo?)
