So, I know I'm supposed to be working on the banners, but I decided to start doing something else for this mod: Helmets... I've always thought M&B needed some historically accurate and cool looking helmets, so I cracked open some of my Osprey books (RIP Angus McBride

), and picked a few to start making.
I've spent the last two days teaching myself how to use Wings3D and how to unwrap the mesh, blah, blah, blah. After that, how to get them into the game, etc.
So, here's my first modeling attempt...
Those of you with the Osprey Elite "Normans' book might recognize this one. It has a few glitches in it but, now that I know how to do it, I'm gonna start cranking out some more 11th century helms. If you want em Morg, you're welcome to use em, if not, then they'll just be for my own enjoyment. I've still got a lot of things to learn as far as skinning goes, but I also have a lot of free time on my hands.
P.S. I'm still working on banners, but it's slow going. I've decided I'll just reskin the ones that are horribly out of context for 11tch century England (like anything with scimitars). Most of em are okay, I think, but I'll try to add a few more that have Northern Christian motifs and symbols...
That's all.
