Agree with it all except the battles.

I am playing the Native Expansion, so it might be different, but anytime Im in a battle with a computer, they just all charge. No line, no archery barrage, no specially timed charge. Just run and die and chop. I mean its fun to defend against, but taking the time to actually strategize sometimes feels pointless.

For me, its just the overall depth. It's a bit like Skyrim, but everything is deeper, more customizable, and the combat is supreme. You get the big open world, but with it comes a constant pressure to make the right decisions. I like that.

Also, the whole idea of building up an army is just awesome. So customizable.

Bonus question:

Whats everyone's strategy for getting triple teamed (dont even oyu dirty bastards) in a melee fight or battle. I try to back up and block and get a couple swings in. I am brutal on the horse because I end up getting zerged by a giant swarm of melee and then all I can do is block and jump and cry

Anyone get kind of annoyed having a 1-1 Lance final in Praven tournament, only to have the AI knight chase you in circles...you basically gotta get him to run into the wal and hope you can turn around and get going fast enough.

Oh I should add I am playing the Native Expansion mod, love it but damn there join battle range is huge (this is me getting demolished by 120 Sea Raiders >  )

This and and the rediculous gang banging bandits are two of the only issues I had. Although I will say, the bandits became a nice source of income.

I see  I have lots to learn!

Quite a big, and dedicated community here. Good to see.

Last night I purchased the full game (Warband) and Im starting to learn, but still seem to get stuck. I have one fief now, but its being looted constantly by massive armies and Im having trouble keeping my army size and quality high. I also am unsure as to how to take part in a Seige as my allies will be seiging a castle but I only have the options to sneak in, etc.

Great game tho, Im glad I found in an joined the community. The online battles are a bit of a farce though, just random as all hell, but I guess thats to be expected unless you're part of a clan with someone to coordinate everything.

Really enjoyable game, I just gotta figure out a way now to gain more land and troops.
