On my 2nd time through, so learned a little.  I'm at almost day 200 and haven't gotten that far yet, sounds like you're rushing thru the story line, I tried, didn't work.  Used the 2 go to Ireland quests to go viking for a long time, fight some sea battles and eventually get more ships.  Buff character and build army, Almost have to have merc's, still don't have a single top tier kingdom troop, get one, freeing prisoner, sure can't normal upgrade,  and sure as the world gets killed next battle.  Easier to be a bad guy, make lots more money selling to bandit dens than towns, and can then get some of the outlaws to join you.  Seems almost have to raid villages and monastery after paid off monks enough.  Trying as Christian, just don't like their mercs or bandits as much, who wants bunch of slavers in army?  Can have 1 set of vikings, doesn't hurt morale to bad.  Kept army small, built refuge, and just ran around fighting battles, building army, character and adding to refuge.  My experience, just takes a long time.  Wonder how you made it thru Ulfs farm and Odins Den if don't have buffed up character, I couldn't.

Just the one time, but don't remember running into any other bandits. 

Sorry, didn't make a special save game, just kept playing.  Now when go back the bandits have moved on.  Was strange, when go in to fight infested bandits, all my troops were clones of my character, all lined up and frozen, like terra cota warriors.  The 'bandits' were farmers and my troops.  Cheats are off, haven't used any of the menu cheats or changed anything on saved games, or anything for that matter.

Guy posted earlier that if set up quarters camp and get someone to attack you, and they join in get extra experience.  It does seem to work.
Just wondering why Friese rebellion kept coming up, thought maybe would be new quest at some point.
Figured was m&b auto declaring war, if that's just the way it is, ok.  I'm in story mode not sandbox.  Just doesn't seem right, would sure like to see other 'viking' kingdoms helping out against Saxons.  Am before peace at Snots whatever, and every kingdom in England, some Irish, are also at war with Northhymbre. 
Thinking of the "13th Warrior" vikings laughing and having fun in storm and 30 ft. swells.  Know I would lose more than morale.

Keep getting a msg. that Ri somebody is gathering support for a Friese up rising.  Sounds like a good quest, I'd support him.

Just doesn't seem historically accurate that Danmark and Northverg are at war with Northhymbria.  Shouldn't they be fighting the Angles and Saxons.  My main history comes from fiction, and this is before Alfred, but just seems to make sense.

And why does a boatload of Vikings lose morale for crossing the sea?

Just checked, it doesn't do error msg on other saved games. 

I posted here because didn't start happening till downloaded the beta update.
Have the screen shot, figure out how to send someday.
The error msg which comes up every time is:

3rd line same as second.
Doesn't seem to effect anything just annoying, also get same battle terrain, no matter where I am.  Also a scout report on top every time about stones, and I say let's make them tombstones. 

I get 2 error msgs.  deploy consequences and simple encounter, every battle everywhere.  Turned off gore, didn't help.  Also, the stones into tombstones, and almost every battle is same scene, at least it's flat plains, not mtns.

I'm getting the error msgs. reported in all battles.  Also the bit about tombstones every battle bit much.  Doesn't seem to affect anything.  Will try turning off gore.  Didn't address any of my concerns, like crazy time for upgrade, easy doesn't help much, and did someone actually think character upgrade system an improvement, maybe just old and set in my ways.  Would also like to see little historical context continue after story line.  Went into sand box, OK everyone declared war on Danes, just not Denmark and Sweden? that just ain't right.  I like a challenge, but does seem this is hard just to be hard and drag out to boring lengths.  I do enjoy the game, get to play Uthred.

I did delete what was in the mod folder and downloaded, and it works.  Thanks, do like the mod.

Don't know what's happening just downloaded the 10 and it disappeared into the either somewhere.  Thinking about taking everything off and reloading.  Thanks again

Now I don't know, downloaded again, went thru the installation, said it was installed, and can't find it anywhere.  Do I need to put in the path above when it asks where to install?  Thanks, and thanks for the mod, I am enjoying it.
