  1. Version 2.5 released

I've played the mod a fair bit now, and I can safely say that I love it. Thank you for all of your hard work.
  2. Weird numbers in Troop names

It's to indicate what type of troop they are and what rank.

    So for example;

    A1 - Archer, Rank 1
    I4 - Infantry, Rank 4
    C2 - Cavalry, Rank 2
    H3 - Horse Archer, Rank 3

It's so that you know what everything is at a glance. I used to dislike it but it's actually really useful. I believe that you can manually edit the name of the troops fairly easily (if a bit long-winded) in the .txt files.
  3. Version 2.5 released

Use the pirate bay torrent, it will give you max speed by now and you can stop/disrupt/pause the download whenever you want and however many times you want. You can start at uni, pause while going home and resume when home.

I'd love to, but I live in University Halls and they block p2p connections - it means I can't even go online with Steam.

It's finished now anyway. Took 4 hours, but I got there.
  4. Version 2.5 released

My university has laughably slow download speeds (188kbps) so it's slowly chugging away. What's worse, is that it got to 400mb on the Rapidshare link before getting interrupted and saying something about parameters, so I've had to start all over again.
  5. Village Relations and Improvements 2.5

You can load up TweakMB and choose Native. Then click at the top where it says "Open Tweak Viewer" with a picture of a magnifying glass. You can then choose the tweak you want to apply and it basically tells you exactly what .txt file you have to manually edit (in the Floris Mod).

    eg.

On the right it will say:

Module File: This is the .txt file you need to open. Might be menu.txt or conversations.txt
Unique Line ID: This is what you will search for within the text document. Open the document, click ctrl + f to open the search function and copypaste whatever it said for the ID. This will get you to the line. Then it's basically common sense what entry to change. It'll probably be a little different from Native but usually the number you are changing is glaringly obvious.

For what it's worth, I have no experience in modding but I haven't screwed up my game.

Also, apologies if this post comes across as condescending (mainly with the notepad ctrl + f business), I just figured I'd cover all bases.

how exactly do you get into the steam program files?
Usually C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common and then the game. That's on Windows Vista or 7 - if you are using XP I can't remember but it should be very similar.
  7. Introduction/Hello thread

I ride forward, alone. Seventeen Sea Raiders enter my view near the foot of a hill infront of me. As I draw near, they begin to let fly with arrows and throwing axes alike. I circle them, letting them expend the majority of their ammunition before I close in for the kill. 17. I impale a straggler on the left side of the group with my spear. 16. Another pass of the mob brings the total down to 14, thanks to my trusty polearm. A third pass leaves another dead. 13. Sea Raiders wear shields so I draw out my two-handed axe. A turn back to face them, and cut down another 4. 9 left...

    This game is awesome.

First post etc - cya around
