  1. Mount&Blade Warband | OS X and Linux Support

    Hello,

I have some problems with running Warband on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Ever since I switched to Linux some months ago, there's been the same graphical problem every time I run the game: at night in battle, a large, red silhouette of the player is fixed to the night sky. There is also a problem with turning HDR on: all the trees in the map start to flicker when the screen moves.

A few days ago, however, I encountered new problems. Some of the banners have been mixed up, almost as if the graphic file for the banners had been slanted 45 degrees to the left, and every banner affected has parts of all the banners in that sheet. I tried installing the Better Banners pack, and it helped so that I no longer have to look at the broken banners in game, save for when I issue orders to troops in battle - the flag pointer still has a broken banner instead of the normal red and black one.

My other problem is the most annoying one. When entering Steppe Bandit Hideouts, a part of the path leading into the clearing with the cave and the enemies is really deep and filled with water. It's like a part of the river has collapsed and sunk some twenty meters underwater, making it impossible for friendly troops to even make it to the clearing.

I have been mostly playing with the Diplomacy mod (which has worked very well), but these problems persist in Native as well. I have tried removing and reinstalling Warband twice, but it hasn't helped.

    Here's some system specifications.

Operating system: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00 GHz x 2
    Graphics: GeForce 9600 GT
Graphics driver: NVIDIA binary driver version 340.32

A warm thank you in advance for anyone who can help!
