Can i at least do that?
Or can you not change the culture of villages after conquering and you will never be able to recruit decent numbers of Frisians?
Can the Frisian villages all be Christian and give out Frisian Recruits please? The Norse can be the pagans in the Forts and Towns.
I know you skimped on the Troop Tree for Frisians but RP wise its mental not being able to get frisians in friese
This is what I've been doing too, she's just the daughter not the son of thiaderd. It's a fun way to play. I'm almost 99 days in on my no cheating file, the other "cheated file" is massive. 300 days in with over 500 Frisian troops, Friese liberated, raids on all Norse men all the time. Danmarks is in ruins. I gave kennemer to Brunhild(can't spell that name) as a way to give an ending to her story as a slave from kennemer.
Best way to get Frisian troops is increase your relationship with the towns to 60 and higher, and even though you are still getting the occasional Norse troops you get more and sometimes Doccinga will give you tier 2 Frisian troops.
How I started out on my legit file with no cheats was trading wool and selling it to dorestad. Then selling wine and salt from dorestad with the people I bought wool from. I'll give you the somewhat long process.
-From Dorestad buy ticket to dunwic
-From Dunwic visit towns in east engle, west seaxe, and Mercia for cheap wool 30-150 pennings.
-travel back to dorestad sell your items, and then start making the rounds of Frisian towns, doing three things in each one.
1- looking for recruits
2- looking for cheap salt
3- asking them if they need help and completing the quest if they have one.
Once all that is done you simply start over and repeat. The cost of a ticket goes up the larger your army, so I keep my army outside dunwic and only travel with what I need. Although In England I always travel with my army, makes it easier on you and you don't have to dodge so many bandits.
In dorestad and the castles I have never gotten any frisians so maybe that could be fixed.
What I would like to see is a claimant for Friese.
