Im just playing around, you can test it out yourself by editing the files with a text editor + python.

I dont have the "correct models" I am just using default horses.

Thought that meant semi-vegetarian, like some people still eat white meats like fish and chicken, even when vegetarian. (Subliminal Meaning?)

I mean IF you can somehow (I dont know how, I dont use Python, C++ is me) link the jumps together to ignore the ground, you can make them fly. Also instead of having an animation when you press jump, it will constantly go so it doesnt look choppy.

You will get all 3 dimensions of movement. Hence, you will be flying.


It is just implementing the actions for jumping from the game, so that it is easier to make than create a whole new one.


You can get perfect flying, though there will be no pitch on model. (the model turns but not on a set radial point) So it will always be facing the same level.

Trying to figure out how to display all one animation on loop, if anyone can tell me how to make an animation on a constant loop with any variables that would be great

(I mean an animation that loops but can be stopped and started without a trigger)

Congratz I know how to make dragons fly.... but my way is a cheap way out.


well I know how to make horses fly... thats all, but they are the same as they are mounts.

Only problem is that it is very bad... you just make the horses jump very long, and high.  You could make it so horses dont get fall damage and do it my cheap way... but it is very ugly looking.

This DOES work as you can specify the units that can do it. Only problem is if a NPC or AI gets hold of it, but I have NEVER seen an NPC or AI use the "Jump" Function on a horse ?


Oh well just use this for a clean way out if you get stuck.


I had a fiddle around, but I could not seem to get the horses to do a "double jump"    This could mean you could hold the spacebar down and do lots of fast mini jumps. This SHOULD be perfect flying.

Idea for dragon mount for "flying"


How about you make the model but put it slightly hhiger than it should, then, put a 100% transparent texture for the bottom.

It will give the ILLUSION of a hovering dragon.

Only problem: The hitbox would be bad =(, you could have a spear floating from under the model etc.

On my old computer....yea no longer sadly, RIP, I had a mod which could somehow travel between different maps, but not sure with items etc. it was for v.8o8 I think?
Dont know what it was called though.

Don't use heavy fogs etc

Heavy fogs lag in some patches and are a hassle to fix.

This only occurs for Nvidia users for some reason and the older ATi.

Proof: GTX295: Lags with almost ANY fogs. (15 - 10fps)    -      ATi Radeon HD 4850: No Lag in Fog. (60FPS {capped})

No idea why this happens??? All updated etc.      Just make sure you get some ideas from different levels of computers before putting too much in.

Gah sorry, thought there might have been. Not very up-to-date with dragonlance stuff, though I do know what it is.

Do giants get any "giant mounts"

If giants are a playable race... how will the horses work?

E.g. You can stop them from having horses, but can you stop them from jumping on enemy horses ?



I can just imagine a giant on a horse.........

This mod actually looks promising! 


I normally hate the fantasy mods, apart from the chuck norris mod.


I just started modding and will see what I can do with making some models cause i have alot of time to waste.

Best way for you, would be to get permission from an already created one and edit it.
I am trying to do stuff like this at the moment but I am making a tactical mod. Gonna be very hard and tactical.

If you post an image of your errors or something it might explain it better to the people who know what to do.


My Main question, DOES some things using python, like M&B, has support for C++. Only Reason I say this is that I cant be bothered learning python cause I already know a moderate amount of C++ 
(most modern games use this, that's why)

I tried editing a few things, but not too sure.                -Also, do the animations and models have any support from Softimage XSI tools ?


Other wise I will just learn Python, though it will be painfully annoying.
