    I say go for the cleaner coding option.

    And if what Roach said is true..
    ..Character import/export is your friend. Sell off all your assets and export, there's nothing funnier than 'starting afresh' with a lvl 47 character with 400k in the bank. You'll be back to your saved game position within a month game time..

    ..then this is a great way to maintain some continuity!

    Great Idea. Can't believe it's not already been discussed..
    Maybe as well as choosing when installing, you could use it any time..
    like Fallout or Oblivion's Mod-Managers.. ?

    If you use -  'Hold F1' - to move your troops they will stay in formation as they move...
    does this help...

    i.e., You use F1 (held down) to send your troops to the top of a nearby hill, then when the enemy appears you place a marker behind the enemy by holding F1 and your troops advance in formation...?

    What part of this mod makes the bandits etc so difficult?

    To add to what imgran has already said..

    I start by MBTweaking the Arena and tournament a little and then Competition 'surfing'..
    Tournaments often take me many..many attempts but occasionally you get lucky/ play good and walk away with *10,000 denars* :smile:. Also arena fighting is profitable if you grind away at it.
    Then you can hire all the mercenaries you want !  :wink:

        +Relation to 2
    Arena 5,10,15,20 = 250,500,750,1000 & 1500 Win

    Prisoner Management(Lords) 15% 24hrs
    Towns/Villages Mill 10% Permanent & School 360hrs

    Prisoner management is also key..
    .. and if you see any manhunter/slaver/slave (..whatever) as prisoners - try to attack, release and hire them. My cavalry 'spearhead' currently consists of a load of Slaver variants and does very nicely at filling my dungeons with prisoners..
    (They use blunt weapons :smile:)

    I like to have 'pack' horses too - don't know if they work tho...
    Lame horses are great! They're so cheap!
    Stay light, give ride skill and good horses to companions, take only Cavalry, sell NPC's stuff regularly, get a high 'Pathfinding' NPC, .. and you'll fly across the map..
    I prefer Nizar and Deshavi ..(I think that's right..:???:) for Pathfinding.
    Also, I find that usually one character can max out on Pathfinding, Tracking and Spotting..(maybe two?) and therefore be my 'Right-hand' man ..!
    ..along with Jeremus - my 'Left-hand' man..:smile:

    I have to say though, if you have a few points in Pathfinding, this will give you a relatively cheap  +1 (or more ..) bonus on top of whatever your best guy has.. and if you do get taken prisoner, you have a back-up.. :smile:

    Poll: How many new companions would you like?

    Please don't waste your valuable time on creating 'loads' more characters.

    I would much rather have 'polished buildings' or 'new spear scripts' than even more NPC's?

    There is already, IMO, enough.. though a couple more could be good..
    .. and they are a little low on personality.. It seems more about satisfying 'skill sets' to me and I tend to try and harness the specialists and train the rest to fight. I already have Traders and Scouts trained up as warriors because they aren't needed. One character can possess all the skills and 'supercede the need' for anyone else....Floris for example..
    Admittedly, you're going to need vassals (so maybe a few more noble/leader types) but ultimately you're just providing people the ability to more easily balance their party and therefore reduce the game balance (not quite immortal armies - but still skewiff-ing ..)

    Could you point us the way to fashioning new NPC's?
    How complex is it?
    A new thread methinks.. :idea:

    It would be helpful to see a horse health-bar, for tournaments especially,
    and ..is it just me.. or is the scrolling text really intrusive? Can it be smaller?!
    Is there a way to make it scroll from the top down instead .. Oh, and move the compass ...grrr...:grin:

    Ps How easy would it be to have a more 'scaled' World-map character(lord)-army-icon.. maybe even representative of the size and occupants of the army?

    Siege inventory,... GRRR! - pls someone sort this out..?

    I'm sure you've thought of this but,
    ...can't you just stuff the castle full of troops, then give it to your lord/vassal/companion?
    I haven't got to this stage yet.. so might not be possible.

    This is probably an 'Old save' + Patch issue but...
    Has anyone else had the enemy lord 'on his lonesome', charge towards you at the start of a battle...?
    Easy XP if you can catch him just right...
