OK, I've set up the piercing swords to:
1. Use faster thrusting attacks. This effects all one-handed weapons, but they get the biggest benefit, due to their overall speeds.
2. They got an upgrade to their Pierce score, putting them on a par with the nastier maces, to make them more attractive in that role.
3. They slash when on horseback, since it's dreadfully unrealistic for them to be used to stick people from above anyhow, and it looks 'orrible. They aren't terribly effective slashing arms, for obvious reasons.
4. None of the above other than faster one-handed thrusting speeds applies to estocs, which were still functional slashing weapons.
5. All of the above applies to the thrusting daggers; they're lightning-fast and rather deadly at this point, if you can close.
In addition, all of the big cutting stave arms got crush-through, making them significantly nastier, the short halberds got the same traits as bastard swords (i.e., they may be used with or without a shield- big bonus) and I raised the prices a little bit on a few things. And I added a new weapon by Mackie- a whacky two-handed sword design from the Phillipines called a panabas. Rather nasty.
In addition, since I was screwing around with swords again, I ended up doing a bunch of model optimizations that have significantly improved framerate again.
