  1. AI Lord parties regenerating way too fast

It's very much hand in hand with auto-generation of troops in your towns/fortresses.  My current campaign (early days) I have 6 or 700 in my one fortress, and I can't kill them off faster than they are replaced.
  2. Can i have sex with women?

Trying multiplayer might help...single player limits your options.
  3. Cavalry With Over lengthed Pole Arms vs Infantry Dismounted?

I'm having a lot of success with a mixed force using tose russian pole axe things, musketmen and cav.  Once the opposition is disordered they get chewed up pretty well.

But the lance issue is a problem...sometimes they work like light sabres...
  4. Sensible Firearms Rule

Agreed, but armies don't wait for sunny days to fight.

Still, I doubt too many people tucked loaded and lit matchlocks into their belts.

Clearing a misfire sucks, as well.  If you can't fire the thing off, you need to either put a spike and drawer onto the ramrod to pull the ball out, or remove the plug at the rear of the barrel and ram the ball through.  Either way, tedious, time consuming and not necessarily safe.  Standard practice is to wet the powder charge down before attempting either method.

Having a discharge while fiddling with muzzle loaders is a real wake up call.
  5. Feedback on the state of the game.

    Good points re SP.

Give up on long haul caravans though.  Try shorter safe route ones.  And bank your money at merchant guilds, brings a good return over time.

I gave up on disbanding troops from my castle garrison...it's now up around 700 men.
  6. Sensible Firearms Rule

I doubt any of you can cite definitive proof.  I have no issue with pre-loaded flintlocks, but matchlocks are a different matter.  The 'match' is a smouldering length of accelerant impregnated rope or cord.

Maxim, how much experience have you had with muzzle loading firearms, or blackpowder?  Having used muzzle loaders both on firing ranges, and hunting, I can assure you that moisture effects and shot loosening are problems.  Try tamping down a load too tight and you risk a premature discharge, and will get burnt and probably cut by the ramrod when it gets fired out.

  7. Sensible Firearms Rule

It's called wadding or swathing.  Blackpowder firearms only get loaded when they are about to be fired, reasons include climatic coditions affecting the powder, and jolting or bouncing around spilling the flash charge, and loosening the ball and wadding in the barrel.  But, all that aside, would you stick a fully loaded matchlock pistol with a burning match into your wasteband?
  8. Losing one battle ruins entire game

That explains it...useless bunch they are.  No wonder Russia had so many revolts break out in its history.
  9. Caravans, less than useless?

Go to 'Town Centre' rather than 'Marketplace', then select 'Merchant Guild'...not all places have them developed though.

They loan money (at shockingly high rates) or allow you to deposit money.  The interest rate is linked to your level or renown, I haven't worked out which yet.

In my current game, I'm earning 200k per month in interest alone.  That's an obscene amount of money and allows me to virtually buy the love of a city in the taverns.
  10. Losing one battle ruins entire game

I've taken to having a bodyguard of 4 or 5 elite, up-equipped mercs to save from being wounded and losing battles.

Advice re money:  Do your own caravanning to start with to build up your money.  Forget 'spice', gunrun 'powder'...you can get 800 to 900 % returns.  Once you've got a nest egg, deposit it in banks...and always check the interest rate regularly...I've got 500k at 20% in Magd. Castle,  400k at Moscow, and 200k at Smolensk.  That's an income of over 200k per month for doing nothing, even if I'm captured.

B*stard Tsar won't give me diddly squat lands, but I can buy and sell him.
  11. Caravans, less than useless?

Once you start putting money in the banks, the need for any other money making venture becomes irrelevant.  But with caravans, take a look at short hauls along safe routes - Cherkassk/Azaq-kale to Moscow, Moscow - Smolensk, etc.  Spend some effort to work out what sells consistently well, on which route, then go for it.

Provide your own guard by riding shotgun on the caravan, by patrolling around it, till you work out the safe routes, but then don't scrimp on caravan guards.
  12. How can I get 3000 Thaler From Single Caravan Trading?!

Once you've got sizable sums in banks, caravanning is just a sideline.  I think I've got 200k in three or four cities now, so essentially money is no longer an issue.  Fastest way I found to get it was to self-caravan powder at any opportunity.  I only use caravans to boost the general economy now.
  13. How do I put a cap on my garrisons?

I just went for a two week stroll around the lands, came back and my garrison was back up to the 460 mark, after a massive cull.  I don't think it's faced a serious seige for ages...guess I'll just have to live with it.

Would be nice if the patch today had fixed the 'no storage' issue, and give you the requirements for strength etc for weapons from the specialists.  Bought a handmade broadsword that was less lethal than the tempered Scot one I already had, and bought Black Armour that I don't have the strength to wear....*sigh.

Oh, and ghetto crawler...don't insult your betters.
  14. How do I put a cap on my garrisons?

I hold a fortress, and silly me bought up all the appointees...problem is now that the garrison is approaching 500 men, and I don't want that many.  It's a bit tiresome having to transfer them into my field army, then disband them.  Plus the problem seems that once I do that, they seem to...
