And all of you have said things I wouldn't have even thought about asking. Providing even more perspective!

I am going to try to distribute this (again) to everyone in my social circle, there is ALOT of fear in the US right now about our health care changes. Fear turns into alot of yelling and anger. I hope to alleviate that with facts.

Sorry it took me so long to say this, but I thank all of you who responded. This forum is very valuable for such questions and I also thank the administrators for maintaining it. I appreciate each response and have done my best to communicate this information to everyone I know.


Health care is becoming a fierce argument in the US right now. It is exciting, but also a little disappointing. The way I see the argument here is like a bunch of ants fighting over a piece of styrofoam that they have mistaken for a bread crumb. I am just trying to eliminate such mistaken perceptions, and maybe move all of us ants over to something better. This helps alot.

I didnt read most of it, but its a pretty safe assumption that nobody mentioned a Babylon 5 episode that dealt with this very issue, if you are really interested in the subject and not just trolling or ego-basking, its in the 1st season, episode was called, ummm, "Believers". Episode 10 in season 1.

I recommend it for any serious research.

Micronations? *sigh* when did this word get made? Is it more newspeak or something deeper...

Ah, the term developed in the 70s, no wonder it has that unpleasant smell.

I tried the 14 day trial a couple of times, and oh yes, I even bought it and paid for a couple of months once. I thought I could get around the strange physics the game has, alas, I couldn't. Its sad too because I like just about everything else in EVE, which is why I bought it. I like how pvp is everywhere but there are very safe areas with little to no chance of pvp, when you are ready though you can go anywhere and experience it.

I just need more real-space physics though. Infinity looks like a good one for this, if it ever gets released.

This will probably turn alot of people off (I hope), it has real-space physics (except there will probably be sound, space should be nice and quiet).

Thank god, finally. No more zero-g underwater physics in space at least.

Has it been updated since 2 years ago? I tried it then and liked it but it wore off rather fast, it did lead me into Wurm Online though.

If you like Stranded II the next logical step is Wurm Online.

As long as they do not look at Deus Ex 2 at all then it may do well. If you hear the team say anything good about Deus Ex 2, well.... par for the course.

I just ran into an artist, hes 65 and struggling with health problems now, but he released a jazz record in 1976. He regrets and resents selling it to the record company for so cheap now. He does not make a penny off of its sale today. He encourages me to d/l if I want, hehe. This attitude seems very common among the 'artists' I come into contact with.

I don't believe the industry has any valid points. Its just avarice. The few artists on their side still simply haven't been screwed by them yet, or are just as greedy. They are good at putting out propaganda supporting their cause, and they have enough money to sway political opinion, so here we are....

It just started here in the states in 2006, just helping it grow! And helping stop the criminalization of immigrants.

I just found out about an unscrupulous pig farm that moved to the Mexico City area from the United States. When they were in the US, they were nailed for polluting the water supply and were forced to build a sewage treatment plant just for their pigs. When NAFTA went into effect they packed up and moved to Mexico. So far they have not been forced to take such measures since they moved to Mexico. This gigantic farm/plant probably drove alot of smaller, less hazardous farms out of buisness.

There are alot of names for this flu, swine, H1C1 ect....

I call it NAFTA flu.

Aye, police were out of line. 4th amendment got a bit bruised up there.

Ive been a little alarmed at the increasing number of police helicopters I have been hearing. Used to be it was a huge deal to see a police helicopter ever. Now they call them out for routine traffic mishaps, flying low and blaring on a speaker over an auto accident. Its a little unnerving, especially if you are trying to sleep. I call and complain, but I think something more needs to be done. What they do to homeless in my city is atrocious too. There is a line that has been crossed I think.

Of course, regularly. At least once per week. Nothing else like it anywhere. And I can yell at the owner if I want to, hehe. I don't like doing business with a company unless I can contact the owner in some way.
