    Strange fps decrease...

No it isn't. PIX is for both x64 and x86. You probably didn't read what I said and downloaded the 64 bit version.

If you want people to actually help you take a recording with PIX and upload it. Nobody here has a magic 8 ball for your solution.

Yes, you are right - sorry. I assumed the standalone version Microsoft released recently had the same set of features, and it didn't. Anyways, it doesn't matter now in my case. My motherboard died.. my problems were symptoms of it failing.

I have checked my rgl_log and I've found some quite interesting intel.

That looks quite troubling...and what's more, I have noticed a few sounds like slashing of swords and a few screams etc not playing while fighting, which may be linked to this?

It also seems some of the skeleton(s) are flagged as warnings as well? The rgl_log file isn't exactly my level of modding so idk...

I also don't know much about those error messages - but currently I am on a computer that runs Warband flawlessly, and those errors do exist in the log. I think Warband just ships like that.. for everyone. Maybe someone else can confirm?

    Strange fps decrease...

PIX is a profiler for Directx you can it get by downloading the directX SDK. I have used it to debug my performance when I was building something you can capture drawcalls in one frame for example and see how long each of them take.

I tried this - no dice. PIX only works with x64 applications, and Warband is x86.

    Strange fps decrease...

Made an account just to chime in..

I've had the same problem for over a year now, and no matter what I do - nothing seems to fix it. Interestingly enough, my hardware is almost identical to yours.. (i7 4790k, GTX 970..)

Tried everything mentioned in this thread and beyond, NOTHING will remove the microstutter. I've even clean installed Windows several times since the beginning of me experiencing this bug.. it still persists. In my case, the FPS indicator doesn't actually drop when I stutter - nothing I can see seems to acknowledge it. Does your FPS *actually* drop in relation to the stutters? We might not being experiencing the same thing if you do drop FPS, but the similarities in our hardware suggests a connection..

A lot of threads I've read theorize that Windows 10 is the problem; though this does not seem to be your case. To test this theory for myself I dual booted into Ubuntu, installed Warband, and fired it up. Aside from some bugs caused by not having all of the dependencies Warband uses for Linux, the gameplay was silky smooth. Very strange indeed, as this seems to suggest it is not the hardware that is at fault. No other game stutters like Warband. After playing Mount&Blade for nearly 6 years now, this stuttering is really making it hard to play.
