GL guys.

I think I am going to go with U.S. Paratroopers on this one. All geared up and armed to the teeth they made the German quiver in their boots.

It is neat to see photos of the area in color. I know the folks who live in this area even today still have a ceremony commemorating those who fought for their liberty. It seems the sentiment is stronger nearer to the invasion landing sites than it is the closer one comes to Paris for example.

After the Battle of Hastings the longbow became the projectile thrower of choice. There is a great deal of debate over whether firing arrows really did anything more than corral an enemy riding on horseback and covered in armor though.
