Threads spring up all the time surrounding the bandit hideout mechanic, it isn't very popular. Forest bandits get the most air time because their layout ensures that multiple groups come at once when there are 50+ in the hideout so you have to use special tactics to beat them.

AI is terrible because of never ending wars, and there is no interaction between kingdoms, so yes, it's boring.
