It depends on your personality, like I said. I remember when I was practicing a lot, just starting to get on the competitive scene; smurfing helped me a lot.

I fully admit that it helped me because I knew that if I did badly I didn't have to worry about anyone picking up on it. Having people see me only at my best inspired a lot of confidence

It depends on the person, I guess. I NEVER troll when smurfing. I think its helpful for some people. (At least me)

Pro Smurfing argument:

1. We all care about our reputations. Whether gaming or irl

2. Players who never smurf will RQ more

3. Players who RQ more learn less from their mistakes and never learn to play through anger or shame.

4. Players who smurf learn more from mistakes and are more willing to experiment.

To address people who are "too proud to smurf":

Either you just never have bad days with the game, or are likely good enough to not need to learn anything more. If you are that confident, props. Just make sure you aren't ****ting on those for whom smurfing might be a good learning tool.

Also, there is nothing wrong with not wanting people to know you are practicing up, or not wanting people to see you struggling.

Popped in POM. Went xbow. My whole team died. Five left on the other team, one cav four inf. Killed them all. Round ends, map ends.
