  1. I can't start a new game.

    I have just tried that, downloading the full warband game from taleworlds.com, uninstalling my current one, then install a fresh warband.
    I even reinstall VC again.
    Still no dice :sad:
    Start new game -> back to main menu

  2. I can't start a new game.

    I am having the same issue.

    I haven't played for a while, and yesterday I updated warband to 1.168 (http://download2.taleworlds.com/mb_warband_upgrade_1100_to_1168.exe), then installed VC 2.005 (http://download2.taleworlds.com/mb_warband_viking_conquest_setup_1168_2005.exe)

    Now I can load my old VC saves, and play normal warband, but starting a new game brings me back to the Main Menu.  :sad:

    I don't use Steam to play WB, I purchased straight from the taleworlds website.

    Well in reality, if you get captured, what's stopping them to loot everything you own anyway?
    You're lucky they left you with anything at all..
    If you think losing your stuff when captured is too harsh, start a game without forcing save when you quit, and simply load when necessary.

    I really like the idea of renown based on notable acts. It makes sense, because more people are seeing the battle happening and directly affected by the battle. Thus the news spread faster and wider, hence more renown.

    With Winged Hussars, do they have a short weapon when fighting unmounted? Do they still use their very long lances?

    Have you tried an overhead attack with a 2 hander with that property?
    You might need some power strike and proficiency too..

    Edit: Ceriy, this might have been answered before, but I couldn't find a definite answer.. After finishing a storyline, does the game end, or allow you to continue like normal and help your kingdom conquer the map, etc?

    I'm in the middle of the Polish storyline and was just given the quest to
    help the claimant of the Crimean Khanate to become king.
    .
    The problem is, the Crimean Khanate has been eliminated long before this.
    Am I stuck, or is the situation salvagable?

    Is it possible to finish the Polish storyline when Crimean Khanate kingdom has been eliminated before starting the storyline?

    I'm doing "The New Khan" quest that tells me to support the claimant of Crimean Khanate. Am I stuck now because the Crimean Khanate has been eliminated?

    What about the Black Mace quest?

    Yes, the pathfinding is wonky at best sometimes.
    To ensure you go exactly where you want to go, click on a spot closer to your current location.
