fastest is more ping dependant, and yes that is a problem. its really not good for the community to divide skill levels by ping levels any more than it needs to be.

this has nothing to do with my opinion about which is superior or which i prefer, it's just an unfortunate side effect.

Ahhh well, it was fun reading through this one last time and remembering all the emotional times we had. Thanks to everybody for being a part of our history.

1 - both nord and sarranid archers have access to superior armor and melee equipment than vaegir. vaegir archers also struggle to wield 2handers if nobody has noticed this yet. their bows are superior at long range but they lack the short bow which is a very real disadvantage when going against the archers of the other factions.

2 - infantry is certainly not overpowered. i agree with mr. x - scimitars are great but prone to glancefest. the bardiches are generally slow as molasses and easily beaten by plenty of other 2handers.

3 - cavalry is certainly not superior. sarranid and swadian cavalry, even rhodok, are generally superior depending on what you're trying to do.

I think vaegir are fairly competent in every class without being the best in any. they are the all comers faction. I agree with many of the points about their bows but i still don't think this gives them a big enough edge to be considered 'overpowered.' archers that can really utilize their bows to make a big enough difference at the ranges that they excell at are extremely, extremely hard to come by. most of those archers would also be able to turn a short bow into a rapid fire sniper rifle.

it's fiddly and becomes another chore of administration without being any more informative than your thread here will be.

viel gluck = much luck - much easier
viel gluck mit euer clan = much luck with your clan - probably perfect

the word 'viel' directly translates to 'much' but is used exactly as we would use 'good' in the situation

these sentences would be comprehended in pretty much the same arrangements in both english and german... so 'you have luck, clan' sounds just as stupid in german as it does in english. there are surely other good ways to convey the message as well.

i don't really care for any of the drama, I feel both parties have acted immaturely and arrogantly, the victory conditions are ridiculous and overblown, and you all brought this war upon yourselves. i hope you will all respect our choice of which side to fight with.
