  5. Mount&Blade II: Bannerlord Developer Blog 5 - Virtual Skeletons

Yesterday I was ready to die, being completley convinced, that I got nothing left in this world. Even my hot wife wasn't able to cheer me up, wearing wet t-shirt on her big boobs with protruding niples.

Today I'm happier than ever, knowing that TaleWorlds team got electrified sense of humour. This bodes well for Bannerlord.

The game looks amazing so far I am a huge fan of M&B and I have 2 ideas:
    1. Maybe when you talk to the tavern keeper there could be an option where you could get drunk and when you get drunk maybe you can turn into a sort of belligerent drunk and maybe a lord comes up to you and you fight him and actually kill him and then you have to go into hiding or something? or maybe you could pass out and end up in some random city and you don't know what happened and you have to ask the locals what happened and maybe kill a lord or some random person like that?
    2. Have things you can steal and turn into a thief sorta have something like Skyrim does?
Tell me what you think about my ideas.

Stealth adventures, leading thief or an assasin guild, finally being an ordinary bandit roaming here and there with other scums... Yeach, I thing that's a good idea, which would make RPG part of M&B much more interesting.

I think that would sorta be missing the point of the franchise, don't you?

I mean, the ******** tagline is 'Charge into Battle, Ride into Legend!' If you are making a game called "Mount and Blade: Bannerlord" and the central draw of said game is sitting around in a tavern nicking things, someone ought to be sacked. Besides it's already possible to play as a bandit, just go around robbing people, they don't need to make an entirely new game mechanic for it.

And as for an assassins guild? I'm sorry but the realism has always been a bit tenuous on these games, but throwing in a murder union would absolutely chuck it out the window.

A secret assasin guild hidden in a city, working for lords and kings. Have You ever heard about independent medieeval assasin union (speeking of history realism)? I don't.  I wrote about RPG evolving in M&B. Obviously it'd be stupid to transform batlle game into Assasin Creed or something. I'm speeking here about one of action possibilities while visitting city, right?  The more things You can do in M&B the better for game itself and for us, right?

    Hello guys,

thank you very much for the blog! I'm a big fan of all of the M & Blade Games and spend much time inGame.
I have a few Questions we may can discuss together.

Will there be an opinion to execute lords or Heros? Possibly to hang them on an marketplace. And it would be great if there wohld be a possibility to rescue them, for example during the ceremony. I think that this would be an interesting point. Maybe there can be a bounty, given by the most hateful Lords?

Maybe the Lords of Calradia can have follower for their thrones who can fill in the position of the leader.

in my opinion there was in the other Parts of M&B there a really unrealistic action: You are a tireless rebel and attack a long time the same fraction. One of the Lords catches you for many time, but every time you escape after a few seconds. That seems to be a little bit unrealistic. Much more consequences would be very nice. Maybe your companions, the loyal of them, can rescue the hero? For more identification with the protagonist. And even more (imagine!) hours in front of M&B.

    What do you think?

    With regards

that "your heroes start a campaign to get you back from captivity" seems a rather cool idea.

    Yeach, really good one

Do you know what irony is? I didn't attempt it.

There are around 50 people working at TW, they are all specialists. They will all do what the team thinks is best for the game, they don't need you to protect them from information that could lead to a better game.

Totaly agree with you, there is just some people who want to play a ******** ihstory game and noo, M&B is not a damn history game, it is  a ******** RPG, and what ******** makes me mad is the fact that there are many games with the same ******** sword system, like skyrim and all the damn elder scrolls games, every single ******** game has that system, even this next gen game Kingdom Come, but you dont give a **** about it, if people want to have games with swords in the damn hip, well then let them make their own ******** game and stop making the people of taleword think that their game sucks his because of the location of a MOTHER****ING SWORD!!!!!!

you jumped in rushed conclusions. from uncarefulness or poor english, you didnt get that this exactly was my point actually. the sword can be wherever the f they want. it makes no difference for MY gaming experience. as for mnb being history sim etc. thats exactly what im trying to avoid here being contrast to all this "realism" that some want to pass that would spoil most of the classic mnb experience. as for the strategic part i disagree, thats what exactly mnb should be. a strategic, medieval, hack n slash, action, warparty management  rpg...

Who gives a damn cucumber about my english, the point is that because of people like you, the Taleworlds people will start making the game the way that assholes like you want it, you want a ******** history book, with historical measures and boring ****, let them do the damn game the way they want to do it, instead of criticizing them, give them IDEAS THAT ARE ******** WORTH THE WHILE TO PAY DAMN ATTENTION ******** TARD

    angry troll detected...

    ...who is right.

how do you know, were you there? I'd like to play mount and blade without feeling like I'm in a dating sim, or skyrim or something.

maybe I was, in other incarnation. Besides there's something like history channels, studies and archives, and yeach right, a whore in a tavern will transform M&B into dating sim, genius one, same as a peasant transforming M&B into farm simulator.

Something that I really liked in that tavern, that not everyone has noticed because they were too amused with the new animations  (I was too), are those new cloth textures (if you remembered the Village Elders and their 'plain color' robes, you know what I'm talking about)

Well, everything is looking awesome, can't wait for new blogs and the actual game.
(I agree too with the talk about women maybe being turned into sexual objects, but I trust TaleWorlds would'nt do that.)

Ok, therefore let's turn Village Elders robes into sexual objects instead. It's obvious not each woman got to look like courtesan (it'd look stupid), but there was no tavern in medieeval without one

Good to see idle animations, sitting, drinking, stretching, etc, that is one of the weakest points of the current game that's non combat related and at least goes some way towards a more "living world"which at the moment is totally lacking. Now they need to add some other scripted stuff to NPC's so they are also doing some tasks in the exterior world and not just walking in loops which again is a real weak point in the game, the fact that dozens of towns and villages are dead in terms of immersion and are never visited.

    Sad, but true

It would look better with a lady ready to get laid for 300 denars. Aren't You guys in the mood for warm meal, bed and woman after tiring batlle or long way from Ihamur to Praven?
