  1. Looters = snipers now?

    From a realistic point of view you are right, but if nothing fundamental has been changed on the core damage system, then this is not how blunt damage works in Mount&Blade.
    Blunt can't see the difference between a chainmail or a platemail (or a chainmail and a padded chainmail for the matter of threwn rocks).
    From a realism point of view, thrown rocks are actually scary to armored units. Thrown rocks have a ton of raw force behind them, meaning the impact will shock, unlike an arrow which would bounce off to a degree. A rock to the head will vibrate the helmet like a bell, with you inside. If you charge 10 guys throwing rocks while you have armor equipped, you would likely be knocked out or bruised heavily and unlikely to catch and kill them. So in this regard the game is actually fairly realistic. Blunt weapons, such as stones and maces, are the one way to actually defeat heavy armor in a realistic battle.

    Yeah, in 1.0.6 you can easily take on 10 looters early game with a bow and 1 hander (no shield) if you want. Only a couple will throw stones that miss fairly often, and the rest just charge at you. You don't have the 40m looter stone archers now lol

  4. How to level up Charm

    I have heard (unverified by me) that early game you can level charm through playing the boardgames with nobles. Mid-late game you typically level it by releasing them after you capture them in a battle
  5. Leveling up your character decreases your skill learning rate for all skills

    The only issue I have run into with leveling is the fact that there are several skills that are dead early game. I wanted to play as a charming trader, so I put almost all my skills into those two skills. However, charm essentially cannot be leveled up until late game. This made the 3 focus points for charm and 5 trait points I had for that row dead air. It slowed down early leveling greatly.
  6. Please change bandit fight mechanics

    Ive always found bandit hideouts fairly easy, as long as you arent recklessly charging into a 5 party bandit hideout. As long as a good portion of your main troop is good archers (tier 4 or higher) you will usually get 5 archers from my experience. As long as you use a range weapon you can easily clear the hideout of ~20 or more forest bandits/etc by losing 4-5 troops.

    For the boss fight just watch the top bar and when you get close to the fight swap to a sword and shield. From there it is easy to win as long as you are familiar with melee battle mechanics.
  7. Not gaining prosperity with my own kingdom?

    Do you mean influence? Prosperity is the growth factor of your towns.
  8. Town starving but I can't give them food

    So the main detractor from food seems to be prosperity. If prosperity is too high, you will run out of food. This will drive prosperity down until it equalizes with food supply, from my experience. It takes a while for an equilibrium to be found however.
  9. peace/ war notification

    War was declared on my kingdom about an hour ago, and one of those large notification bubbles popped up on the right side of the screen letting me know.
  10. Store prices rising?

    I booted up my game today and noticed that all of the ranged weapons seemed to have doubled in price, i.e. the Steppe War Bow I bought for 30,000 coins has been increased to 61,000, etc. And all of my armor has been nerfed. I was using a helmet that gave 46 defense, and now it says 40, my shoulders went from 20->14/7 and my chest went from ~36->28. It seems like they overhauled a lot of prices and valuation of goods.
  11. Resolved Army of Poachers Crash After Accepting Quest & Leaving Town

    I have 2 save files, 1 where I havent yet accepted the Army of Poachers quest and the only where I have. If I leave town in the one where I have accepted the quest I crash, if I leave town in the one where I havent accepted it I don't crash. None of the error reports submitted went through. I...
