Most of you have probably seen this server about and ,despite only having 50 places available, is always a packed out server. I've personally played the server many a time as it has been one of the best RP servers on NW, and once the admins (i'll come onto them later) have laid down the rules, most of the RP's run smoothly.
However, today I had the most horrifying experience on this server. Part way through a game of village RP on Slovenian Village, the admin decided to change the "RP" to Shrek. To be honest, I don't even think Shrek is an RP, and most certainly not in the sense of Village RP, Jail break, American Revolution etc. With much reluctance, we proceeded into the game and immediately the admin (his name was Ulfric, so we shall hence forth call him that) spawned in holy hand grenades, a shotgun, the usual stuff, and continued to wreak havoc around the map and thus destroying the opposing team in about 30 seconds. After 5 or so rounds of this terrible, terrible RP, we (the players) decided we'd had enough and demanded the admin changed the map, and usually they do.
But now we come onto Ulfric. After another 5 minutes of asking and demanding the map and RP be changed, we'd still had no reply from Ulfric as he continued to run about blowing up everything that moved in the map. Another five minutes passed, still no word from Ulfric. By now many of the players, myself included, were becoming very agitated by this clear showing of admin abuse and we started to complain about Ulfric, in hope that he'd change the RP. Again Ulfric was not heard from until a player (we shall call him captain) said that the admin was an "asshat" and obviously begged for the admin of the server. Perhaps that was not the best course of action, nut the rest of the server felt the same and he was voicing our opinion. Ulfric then says "say that again", and captain not being the giving up type said it again. A sincere reply of "thanks" from Ulfric and then captain was banned. Im not sure if it was a perma or temp ban, but Ulfric didnt seem nice enough for it to be temp. At this point we'd all had enough and 3 quarters of the server left.
To conclude, when I first started on the server it was very very good and id have given it excellent reviews. But the experience I had today has put me off the server permanently. I wouldnt go as far to say that its a server you should completely avoid, but BEWARE!
Beware of the admin Ulfric, he will abuse admin powers and only choose game modes that suit him. Also, keep your opinion of him fairly clean or keep it to yourself, unless you enjoy being banned.
