  1. 1.5.6 Etc Workshop Income

They should revamp the caravan system. Problem I see is that if you find a place in which raw materials are cheap, finished products will also be cheap. Instead of caravans randomly roaming around, they should make it so that I can make my caravan buy silver ore in Battania for cheap and transport it to my jewelry producing workshop in a place where jewelry is expensive.

Otherwise it makes no sense. This used to be in warband. You could put items on inventory to be produced into finished goods or withhold finished goods so you can sell them for profit somewhere else.
  2. "Small" recruitment and economy changes

I don't know about others but I myself don't like the taking horses from inventory thing to being with, needing equipment as well would be too micromanagey.

It could work if they created an item just called tier 2 upgrade weapon or something, but as I see with horses, I have like 10 different horse types from Battanian ponies to Aserai horses and which ones go to troops and which ones I want to save for my movement speed is not possible to discern from a glance.

With equipment it would be even worse. I'd have 20 different swords, crossbows, shields, hats, scarfs and all of that... then battle loot as well that I would like to sell mixed in. Add in all the variety of food for morale and all of the smithing material. We're talking an inventory so mixed and so large that it would be a nightmare to manage.
  3. The price of player made weapon is TOO HIGH

It does make sense though. Swords like that did cost a lot in real life. They could also reduce the speed at which you can smith it. Smithed stuff in real life was expensive but no smith could build 4 well decorated swords all during one afternoon. They should make it like a project.

You start smiting a sword and just like reading a book in warband took time so should smithing as my character does it step by step when they have time.
  4. an idea about improving workshop incom

In my game grape cost like 9 in towns with villages that produce grapes. The problem is that wine costs 56 so profit is really small. So even if you reduce grape cost you're still making a pathetic amount of money since grape is cheap to begin with. Towns in which wine costs a lot do not produce grapes. Hence workshops make no sense.

Your thing could work if they improve the caravan system. Instead of creating a caravan that randomly roams around, why can't I create a caravan that buys grapes in Vlandia and transports that grape to a town in which wine costs 150 so my workshop can create that wine. That way you can improve relations with the village to sell more grapes to my caravan or help merchants in that town and in return they buy only my wine. Or hire thugs to break my rival wine producer. Etc.

This used to be a thing in Warband. I would buy silk in Rivacheg for 200 from base cost of 600 and transport it to my velvet producing enterprise in Suno. Massive profit!
  5. main income should be taxes. not battle loot.

Historically armies would very often pay armies with loot and any non-professional, non-standing army was likely to go home if there wasn't any. Taxes mostly had a kind of separate role in forcing people to use money if they wanted to own land, meaning the state had some control over them. Tax in medieval society was pretty odd by our standards.

However I definitely agree that the way it is in the game currently makes no sense. Who are you selling the weapons to? Who would buy thousands of swords and what monarch would let you dump weapons into the public market? If they insist on having loot it should be something you dish out to soldiers to increase their morale, not to sell on Ebay.
Historically paying through loot was for the levy system of medieval armies but warband does not have that. If they wanted to do that then a solution would be that garrisoned troops have a significant cost reduction so at peace you leave your troops garrisoned and during war you can use loot to pay your raised levies. I think they said something about touching garrison costs.

As far as I know there is no way to lay off your soldiers in peace and call them in war except for garrisoning them. Like I don't need 50 legionaries during peace, but I don't want to disband all of them since I might need them during war. Maybe garrison cost reduction during peace, like a 80% max with perks.
  6. Ai declares too many wars

I've been trying to switch but it is not working since I got my game on GOG and not steam. I tried the beta channels but it said that it is disabled and 1.5.6 is not on the version list.

Do you know how to do it on GOG?
  7. Ai declares too many wars

  8. Ai declares too many wars

So I joined the Western Empire which, while at war with Aserai and Battania, decides that it is a good idea to declare war on the Northern Empire, Sturgia and Vlandia at the same time. Why? Can you fix this plz? This also would seem really easy to fix. Make it so that the Ai will refuse to...
