    One thing that is lacking in previous versions, and from videos still seems to be lacking, is AI movement strategy in combat. From every gameplay I had and every video I've seen, soldiers simply start to randomly run towards their targets as soon as they are within a certain range, completly ignoring formation. It's ridiculous.
    No army with half brained soldiers and bad discipline would do that. No soldier in an army with a huge number disadvantage would charge alone towards several enemies after having seen many of his men die.
    There is a positioning system and all, but as soon as units engage in combat, formation is completely lost. It makes no sense really. You should check Total War series, they do a much better job with that, to the point I prefer playing that game instead.

    There's still time to fix AI behavior and unit/formation behavior, since the game already seems to allow you to position your units in different places/angles/spreads. Also composite units would make sense, such as phalanx formation with varied size of spears, with front men holding shields while men on the back have increasingly longer spears. This would make for a killer game, if you get some more inspiration from Total War series.
