Edit thread, prefix it with solved instead of unsolved

same thing happened to me after an update, caused by an out of date mod. Try uninstalling all mods and launching

You can purchase a patrol (small, medium, or large) comprised of high or low tier troops (depending on how much you want to spend) and these troops patrol your fief for you. Very affectively I might add. However, I don't think that you can get companions to do the patrolling for you.

From my understanding, I think OP was asking if he could automate himself patrolling, rather than a merc group or party. I believe mercs were also in Pendor, but as far as making yourself patrol without you clicking, i havent come across.

read some other forums from other games, its apparently a known steam issue. Hopefully this will help

what does steam say the download size is? is it making you reinstall the entirety of bannerlord? or is it just a few mb? I'm not too sure, might be a new bug when they introduced the beta build, or steam might be mucking up. I've not experienced this so I cant say for certain.

In warband, there were custom servers and modes. I learned mostly from playing on duel servers, but seeing as that is not in Bannerlord, or not yet at least, the best thing you can do is either play skirmish and try to get better through playing people who are better, or play single player just to get the basics down.

like any other game, the more you play and understand the game, the better you'll get. Play what ever you have fun with and you'll just get better over time

Usually dont have to re-install after every update. How much disk space do you have left on your hard drive? that may be preventing it from updating

Does the launcher pull up properly? if not try manually uninstalling or deleting any mods you have in your module folder.

If the launcher does pull up but crashes before you get to the main menu try closing steam and running as an administrator

these are the 2 fixes that have worked for me, some people have been saying that other programs that have overlays (Discord, overwolf, etc.) have caused crashes but I've not had a problem with those. Also heard if you're running at a non-native resolution than it may crash. Again, I've never had this problem but if you try going to steam>bannerlord>right click>properties>Set Launch Options> type in "-windowed" without the quotes. After that you can change the settings in game to what you want

try going to steam, right clicking on bannerlord, click properties, go to the "Betas" tab, and see if its set to a certain version. If not, you can download it from there by selecting the build you want

i had this problem earlier today.

i fixed it by:
1: go to your modules folder for bannerlord, take out or delete all mods
----- the only folders left should be: CustomBattle, Native, SandBox, SandBoxCore, StoryMode
2: make sure you run steam in administrator mode
3: I've heard from others that if you run the game in some sort of weird aspect ration the game may not launch. In steam try right clicking on bannerlord, go to properties, click on "set launch options" and type in -windowed


hopefully this will help. The one that did it for me was i had a mod in my modules folder that was preventing startup

as far as i know this has never been a feature of any mount and blade games or any mods for them (i may be wrong correct me if i am)

The closest thing you're going to be able to get for that is creating a new party and they will patrol around the areas you own and kill looters and keep the area clean. As well, if you're at war, they will attack enemy caravans, and parties.

as far as what you're asking for, it does not exist

Thats weird, ive never seen that option to donate to my own castle/city. Do you happen to have a screen shot? also are you a vassal of a kingdom or have your own?
