Hello , im making scene for a mod , till one day everything was fine but now when entering the streets , everything looks black and weird. what causes this problem? how can it be fixed?
The 2.04 download provides you with a China regional map for M&B 1.011 Single Player version of this mod (and no there isnt a Warband SP version of this mod yet ), featuring historic factions location (in 1937) instead of classic Caldaria map which ship with the mod.
Feel free to report any bug/stucking tiles on the map
Quick description
While the map is not really historically/geographically accurate, i tried to match as much as possible the starting locations for all factions (between 1935-1937).
the v2.04 map was hastly remade for testing purpose based on the parties.txt file from 1.05 map, so cities/region location arent accurate at all.
What you will find in this map :
- Japanese annexed Korea & Taïwan and Japanese Kwantung armies in Manchukuo (not towns, they were mainly garrisoned),
- Manchukuo puppet state,
- Mengjiang & East Hebei Autonomous Council (those are merged into the Puppet regimes faction),
- 4th Army Route located in south-east China,
- 8th Army Route, located mainly in Shaanxi,
- Northeast Anti Japanese alliance, represented in Manchukuo with 4 cities (as in original) labelled now with historical armies names (exept for the fictionnal korean army, but lots of korean were part of NEAJA),
- Local and Central Kuomintang armies, with various location all over China (Kuomintang Central Army having the key central cities, and warlords states merged in Kuomintang Local Army).
DOWNLOADS
13/10/2010 : v2.04 download, this map is playable and using the new v2 map (more realistic than 1.05).
Bridges and most stuff need to be reworked (bridges are just very basic atm)
Taiwan is now linked to china mainland, and you can also travel from taiwan to japan/korea (hope AI will mostly use it for japs only)
In order to play with whatever version you have downloaded, you need to restart a new game to see the map (loading old saves wont display the new map).
NO CAMERA BORDER LIMIT version :
v2.04b : http://www.2shared.com/file/bR2fkLHs/WW2_China_Battlefield_map_beta.html
camera will always follow your character even on map edge
CAMERA BORDER LIMIT version :
v2.04 : http://www.2shared.com/file/ByNNDbAx/WW2_China_Battlefield_map_beta.html
there will be a little buffer on map edge where camera wont follow your character, so you will never see skybox under worldmap (like in 1866 mod for vanilla M&B)
You can also download the unofficial patch by Humlenerd, for more changes to the single player version. http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,256212.0.html
If you are using v2.03 you dont need to restart a new game, the issue fixed in 2.04 wasnt affecting a 2.03 game at all
I used a free hosting service, basically with adds everywhere, so dont click on "download" buttons everywhere they are mostly fakes leading to more adds, there should be one button working, check by yourself
As for january 2013, the smaller blue "download" button seem to be the working one.
RAW MAP Open Source 06/08/2010 : V2.0 OSP downloadthis is not a playable map, the v2.0 is an OSP blank map, no parties.txt made for this mod (no cities, bridges and so on, plus the map is slightly different than 2.04 : no bridge ford and so on...). It was done so WilliamBerne can use it for next release of this mod on Warband.
You can download this map and modify it as you wish, no credit needed.
v2.0 OSP : http://www.2shared.com/file/pDaCinis/WW2_China_Battlefield_map_beta.html
Installation :
v2.0x : copy the map.txt, parties.txt and module.ini from the zip archive to WWII China Battlefield module folder location on your harddrive. Backup original files if you want.
Is there a list of all factions? Very interesting time period. Possibly no other than an ethnic Caucasian would go for development of this I like Caucasians. Especially their dances.
Absolutely love the concept of the mod, certainly a very overlooked time-period.
Obviously, it would be for the best that you maintain your focus on the participants of the Caucasian War...
Buuut, with that being said, since the map will obviously be focused on the Caucuses, would you consider at some point consider including the Persians, and maaaybe the Ottomans? Both had respective wars around this time-frame, and in the area; the conflict with Persia being specifically isolated to the caucuses. Simply tossing an idea out there, although I'm sure you already have your hands full representing the various different peoples and factions of the Caucuses.
For something more topic-focused, is there any chance we could see some traditional armors, and perhaps shields? Truth be told, I'm not particularly knowledgeable of the subject. I believe the Khevsureti had a particular penchant for the gear of old; clad in mail, and bearing firearms alongside broadswords and bucklers:
Very interesting people really, a lot of mystique and wonder surrounding them.
Hell, you could have them face off with some Russian Cuirassiers for some real clashing of steel, but I'm not entirely sure any cuirassiers saw service in the war.
yes persians and ottomans played an important rule in wars in caucasus
and there was a lot of wars between us and persia for taking control of caucasus
First message is already too old, and some day I'll change it properly. For now - I added all screenshots in the first message
Hi all, I'm making a mod about Crimean war.
Why this war? I think it is perfect for gameplay of most popular and my favorite modes of NW (i mean siege, battle and commander battle) - here are combined large battles in fields (like Alma or Balaclava) and siege (famous siege of Sevastopol). This war was one of the first to be documented extensively in written reports and photographs, so we have a lot of materials about this war.
I am a reenactor and took part in many reenactments about this war in Crimea since 2005, so I have big interest in Crimean war and have some knoledge about it.
I have not decided yet, how many factions will be in mod:
Var. 1: two factions - Russian Empire and Allies (France, Britain and Turkey - so you can not play battle as example France vs. Britain, for this you have NW) with extra section for winter uniform and uniform of Alma battle (after that battle there were changes in uniform) and so we can achieve sameness in the uniform
Var. 2: four factions - Russians and Allies in winter and summer uniform
Var. 3: one faction for each nation.
I prefer first variant, but we'll see.
As for the difference in weapons - I think russians will be more skillfull in melee and maybe will have more HP. Besides, in russian army also were good rifles, but not so many. Also, difference in weapons between russian troops and french troops was also not so big, french troops also had not so many rifles as british troops had (and if british and french troops will be in same faction - it will even the odds ).
Also I want to make some changes in artillery - es example make artillery crew with 3 bots (1 loads, 1 reloads and 1 shoots), make historical-correct artillery train with 6 horses in it and make cannons be able to move with hands on foot, but I know about module system almoust nothing, so now I don't know how to make it all
Currently I have some problems with my videocard, so right now i can't work on mod, but it is perfect time to read more about Crimean war and Siege of Sevastopol. And also it is a good time to tell me suggestions and ideas for mod. Also I will apreciate any help, because there is a lot of work and one person will do it very long.
Also - maybe you know guys who worked on this mod http://www.fsegames.eu/forum/index.php?topic=3193.0 and maybe they can give me what they have already done to make the work easier?
