    Use a Great Long War Axe... stand near the ladder and do overhead chops... you'll one shot everything walking up. Makes fights much quicker and you take far less damage, make sure your medic is well trained at the last to come into the fight and between fights you'll gain a huge chunk of lost HP back as well.

    Maybe they're a little mad

    Once you get late in the game you'll have enemy forces easily going over 2k... you almost have to either have yourself as marshal or appoint someone else and follow them to get anything done unless your a ninja picking off lords.

    Where do the new factions troops fit in?

    Mamlukes are the best heavy cavalry. They have better stats and better weapons.

    Their archers are slightly worse than vaegir but that still puts them at second best archers which is good.

    Their infantry is very ... "meh". I don't really feel it's worthwhile to actually use their infantry over dismounted mamlukes.

    Armor soak is how much armor will directly subtract from the damage. Armor reduction is a % reduction.

    Biggest underdog battle you've ever won?

    102v1459 in siege; this one was really rough, for the first 15 minutes I was standing right near the ladder doing overhead chops nonstop. Every swing either killed someone or shattered a shield it was great. Once I had taken a little too much damage I brought out the shield+awlpike and poked them from range, it made it really easy for my huscarls to kill things that were half dead already.


    53v582 on open field; this was easy... huscarls vs charging khergit horse archers... huscarls win.

    EDIT: I play at Normal to Friends, Half to Self, Good AI.

    Well I grabbed the values from the ini:

armor_soak_factor_against_blunt     = 0.5

armor_reduction_factor_against_cut       = 1.0
armor_reduction_factor_against_pierce    = 0.5
armor_reduction_factor_against_blunt     = 0.75

    Pierce is a bit better at getting through armor.

    The skill I hardly invest in is trade because I don't really find that improtant thou I do often feel it in my purse.

    I like investing in agility as well, the attack speed is awesome especially if you get decent str and power strike to compliment it.
