  1. Let's try a CIVIL discussion of this subject

Personally, I feel that M&B has no need for magics.
  2. The Final Version Of Mount&Blade

Its a toss up between vibrant free form play and goals, and varied combat settings and missions. I had to go with free form.
  3. Lost-Lamb's Armors 6.9 [Released]

Once again, LL, damn good job.
  4. SP Native The Magnificent Seven v.31 (for .704) *updated* 11/2

Quite nice, quite nice. I give it a solid two thumbs up. No bugs here, and its pretty fun to roam the countryside with my awesome mounted knights, slaughtering everyone from river pirates to dark knights. I approve.
  5. M&B is getting around...

Since this thread has became a "where'd you find about M&B from", I guess I join along too. Found out about it from a thread from GameSpy Forums, bought it for 11$ a few days later, and have been playing it ever since (only taking a brief break every so often to play The Specialists).
  6. SP Native Lost-Lamb's Armor mod v2[Shiny cloth&leather is fixed]

Pretty nice looking! I like the lamellar, since it finally looks different than scale mail. Plate mail and templar are both nice as well.
  7. The MY WISHLIST - Thread

My current wish would be to have complex troop commanding abilities. I've said this before, I'll say it again, because I think its important. Something along the lines of you press Enter on the keypad, it brings up a list of all the troops in your army, like:

    1. Borcha (84%)
    2. Swadian Crossbowmen (6)
    3. Swadian Men-At-Arms (4)
    4. Swadian Knights (2)
    5. Swadian Militia (12)

Then you press 1 through 5, on the keypad, and it'd 'select' that unit. Then another list comes up, something like:

    1. Hold position!
    2. Charge!
    3. Retreat!
    4. Follow me!
    5. Switch to melee!
    6. Switch to blunt weapons!
    7. Switch to ranged!
    8. Dismount!
    9. Mount!

Stuff like that. Would be awesome.
  8. LOUSY Frickin' LANCE

I have noticed that lancing has been a little bit harder, but it appears it does more damage now, too. The few times i've hit with a couched lance since .632, I've done like 120+ damage every time. gg @ that
  9. Trampling horses

    In Reply To Shang

It may make cavalry even more overpowered, unless the AI was improved and allowed for footmen to use spears properly to kill horses/riders.

Thats a lie and you know it.
  11. Introduction/Hello thread

    y helo that everybody!1!!

So yeah... I've just got to say that armagan, not only do you make a very good game, you're an amazing developer because you're in contact with the game's community, you provide feedback, respond to questions, and even impliment the player's suggestions into the game. Keep it up.
  12. RUN!!!!!!!!!!

Sprinting would be a fairly nice feature. Encumberence should effect it pretty well, as its quite difficult to run a sprint when weighed down by 50 pounds of assorted armor and weapons you're carrying. It'd be useful if you're an archer/skirmisher dude, and it'd also perhaps balance out the AI archers and skirmishers, give them a last defense if they're caught up in melee and want to get away. On horseback it'd be fairly nice, too. My name's Dread and I approve this suggestion.
  13. commandable units

kinda like the hotkey chat commands in many modern first person shooters?

I interpret your idea as, press 1 to select a group of soldiers (ranging in size from 1 to "X") (where X is the max size of your group) 2 to select a different group,

press 1. Your character shouts "ARCHERS....."
press 3, Your character shouts "...CHARGE!!!"

This would necessitate completing a command before you could order a second group.

press 2. Your character shouts "AXEMEN....."
press 1, Your character shouts "...STAND YOUR GROUND!!!!"

If you were going to do something like this, it would require a more robust party control system wherein you could assign specific soldiers to specific roles.

I can't help but think that I'm not quite on the same plane of thought as you just yet.

That'd be pretty darn nice. Say, for example, you press Enter on the keypad to bring up a list of unit groups, from things like "vaegir knights", "swadian crossbowmen", "manhunters", "vaegir gaurds", all that stuff, each corresponding to a different number/symbol on the keypad. After you select a unit group, then it displays a list of commands, things like "hold this position", "follow me", "charge", the usual stuff, maybe some more advanced commands, such as "skirmish", "switch to blunt weapons", that kinda stuff. That would be very cool.
  14. JUMP!!!

I could not see a guy jumping at all if he's wearing a suit of platemail, plate boots, carring a huge axe, a big metal shield, a lance, and a mace...

Though, jumping around if you're wearing leather armor or something wouldnt be bad. Disabling jump after a certain encumberance would be realistic.

Having jump attacks? I donno, depends how they're done. If they something more like a balestra (basically a small jump forward, usually followed by an attack), that would be okay, but if its something crazy where you jump six meters into the air, do a double-salchow followed by a 1/2 flip, then chop someone in half, that would kinda clash with how M&B currently plays out.
