I just restarted and barely two weeks has passed: western empire captured tons of battanian lords already.

Don't you get daily fluctuation at all? What does it say if you hover over your gold on the bottom right of the screen with your mouse?

Friends & family testing is entirely normal in the industry so there's no reason to get your pantaloons in a bunch over this. If anything, it's good news!

Have you tried with a different face (and put the age all the way to the end)? And you're changing the age in-game (by clicking on the character in character screen to open the face edit) instead of using some save editor or something like that?

What're the exact mechanics of leftover rescued prisoners and how they get distributed amongst your allies? Are they evenly spread amongst friendly lords / troop stacks that were involved in the fight? Or do first dibs go to the most renowned lords, or those who contributed the most to the fight?

And do the lords lose troops that're past their "natural" limits? Valdis is usually running with ~300 or so, and after a certain fight where he got the bulk of the rescued prisoners he was close to 600. This seemed to whittle down relatively quickly tho, now he's only got 400 left. Do the lords dump the extras into their fiefs, or did he just lose those fighting?

Yep, easy enough with your own gear but the disguise is real junk - wish you'd get a staff at the very least, the daggers are just useless. Unless you have scorpion assassin like ninja skills, I guess.

In my current game, the Jatu have K'Juda and two other 1000+ armies spawned, and they all like to hang with each other. When Ravenstern declared war on Sarleon and mounted a large offensive, they got obliterated when they decided to take the route via Jatu territory (and Sarleon took full advantage and conquered a couple of castles right in the middle of blue territory, heh).

It's a shame really that you can't scavenge the aftermath of those massive battles, bet you could've found all sorts of interesting gear. Maybe in Bannerlord.

Some would say that Mettenheim is more of a state of mind, than an actual real place. Say no to smelly horsies!

Oh cool, so that's not considered a dishonorable act? I don't mind the personal negative relations with the d'shar.

What's the best way to help a losing faction when I'm a vassal for someone else? It's looking a bit grim for the Empire atm and unless things turn around real soon, I bet they'll start losing the remaining lords and won't ever recover. Do I have any other options than just hoping some Fierdsvain lord gives me the quest to incite war against the D'shar? I'd rather not join the Empire if I can help it.

Autocalc tends to work out differently than actually fighting the battles. Order your troops to fight without you and see how they fare.

Can you still get rid of swaybacked by laming your horse? I'm pretty sure this used to work, but now I've had my swaybacked horse just die from healthy status on a few occasions.

You guys know whether there's some prerequisite conditions to be met (like Wolfbode with the bow) with those skill boosts?

Thanks, that does make perfect sense. I've played PoP many times over the years and never quite made it to the victory screen, so hopefully this time will be different - which should give the companions plenty of time to get mighty!


Good call about the new Qualis options too, I didn't even realize they existed before I went to visit Finneas. First few will obviously go to empowering yours truly, but after that I'll definitely have to weigh my options as to how to make the most of them.

Does this go for ALL the knights, or just the ones in your permanent party? Other than Rayne, they're all pretty high level and already have some points in Trainer - getting enough INT to be able to
invest any more would require quite a few level-ups. How many levels can you realistically expect them to have, provided they're with you all the way from early game?
