Why do my Noble prisoners keep escaping so easily ?

I always release the mercenary dudes but hang onto the lords/ladies so that they don't auto-respawn immediately and start rampaging with 10 man armies vs my villagers while I'm away laying siege to their assets. At least it buys me some time.

Why doesn't food spoil in the game? (also weapons/armor degrade and soldiers not aging/retiring)

Optimally certain upkeep options should be optional by default. But wish in one hand and poop in the other and see which fills up first and all that....

Again, the core of the game needs to be the key mechanics that power the underlying beast. Once mid-game/late game stuff has been thrashed out, I think we'll see some of the things that were in WB (food spoilage etc).

Why doesn't food spoil in the game? (also weapons/armor degrade and soldiers not aging/retiring)

There will be unhappy folk no matter what path they take though. One person's "chore" can be another person's "fun".

Personally, I think it would be a chore (like having to repair your weapons etc). But there are contingents of folks who would not agree with me. The best solution would make it optional (either default on or default off) and configurable. But that would also take away from time fixing the real problems (and all of these are not just bugs but fundamental design issues that need to be ironed out).

My vote is to leave it out and let the modders take such realism/chores on and let the devs take on the real problems the game needs to resolve ("forest for the trees" vs "trees for the forest").....

Beta branch testing and old save files

It might be a good idea for taleworlds to generate a few save files of mid-late game characters/worlds (maybe with no attributes assigned so we can set them up before getting "stuck in" the world) so mid-late game mechanics can be tested more consistently. There is no telling which of the...

Why doesn't food spoil in the game? (also weapons/armor degrade and soldiers not aging/retiring)

IMHO Realism vs Fun is always a silly argument for a game because opinions vary highly (although can be fun in a kind of poke-your eyes out and stick your face in a fan kind of way)......

Some folks like the tedium of micro-managing. Some folks just want to swing an axe and bring down their enemies in one chop. Balance is hard to achieve and (as with any compromise) very few (if any) folks will be fully happy with the end result....

Currently, with the need to manage large armies, food not spoiling seems to be the way to go by default right now. Maybe include this as a option ? Or maybe someone will mod it in if the "official" bannerlord game it doesn't.

That's the true beauty of this game compared to so many others. It is very open to modding and the modding community is very top notch and dedicated.

Disclaimer: I am not a WB modder but have played many of the great mods for WB and enjoyed them very very much. I am sure those folks will do wonderful things with Bannerlord. Hell, I even am contemplating with getting back to C programming (which I left many, many, many moons ago ) so I can realize a few simple mods for myself.

Its going to be quite the ride for sure.........

    Drilling Field for practicing formations

You can also just do a custom battle, give yourself a good variety of troops to practice with, give the enemy almost no troops and put yourself as the attacker so the enemy wouldn't advance. Now you can practice commands. This is what I did before starting my first campaign.

Not quite the same though. I want to work with exactly what I have on had at that time. I tend to screw up my keyboard commands a lot (hit 1 instad of f1 etc etc) and Screamerlord mod isn't an option because I have to use headphones and be very quiet ....

    Drilling Field for practicing formations

A drilling field where you can practice commanding your forces without having to actually be in battle would be a good thing. Getting the keystrokes down, maneuvering etc etc takes practice. Its easy to "fat finger" the wrong key in battle so some practice outside of that would be a good thing.

BUG: Family feud quest- If you leave before finding the scared guy, he won't re-appear

If you leave the scene before talking to the guy you are supposed to take with you, he will not spawn and you will fail the quest. Did it by accident the first time and then saw that it seems a repeatable problem. Working as intended ? BTW running beta atm. CORRECTION: was running non-beta...

Option to randomize Culture and Background in one button

Since some folks will be testing a lot (over and over and over) it would be nice to get a randomize all button for the pre-character model setup (Culture and Background info) instead of having to enter this over and over and over :D

Option to skip tutorial and start in a particular area.

Can we have a start option to skip tutorial and start in an area of our choosing ? Its a pain to start the game say, as a Khergit and be miles and miles away from his people.

So are there going to be Alpha and Beta forums so that suggestions etc conform to the right branch ?

If there is no separation of forums to the different branches, the suggestions/bug reports will all be jumbled together. I suppose you could force a field to explain which version you are commenting on, but it would seem 1. Alphas would want their own (as they will have the most complicated...

Please keep companions in group(s) I assign them

    <quote>
addition to this, sub-separations for groups would be practical (smaller bars from the ''Party'' and ''Prisoners'' bars), and hopefully they make the units stacks separable, I'd like to be able to separate my infantry of one same type into different groups.

Yes. A thousand times yes

Let us choose to have villagers/defenders help or refuse their help...

Too many times I've come to the aid of a town under siege with a much smaller army and engaged the enemy army, only to have my (nearly useless) garrison come out and get slaughtered while I practice hit and run tactics to wear the enemy down before delivering the killing blow (Horse archers for...

Sort options on garrison and party windows

Some filters/sort options would be useful in the garrison and party windows, especially when you have a motley group of troops to wade through. Also maybe a generic counter on the garrison window to indicate infantry/Cavalry/Archers totals...

Allow companion to form party for fixed mission (e.g. get XX troops from YY and bring to ZZ)

Allow companions to get missions as seperate parties (like getting some troops from a distant garrison and returning with them to me or some other location). Other missions can include: 1. Patrol around (location). 2. Recruitment drive 3. Take party to location
