  1. Tabards and your own heraldry

    *indrawn breath*

The three lions is a misnomer. Historically, they are actually leopards, the emblem of the Plantagenets.

Ok, so the football shirt MIGHT have lions, but if so I expect it's only because the FA were too ignorant to know that they were supposed to be leopards.

And by the Lions, do you mean the British Lions? Or is there another rugby team called the Lions?
  2. Tabards and your own heraldry

Isn't the English emblem three leopards?

The Scottish Royal Standard (the Lion Rampant) however is most definitely a lion.

My personal heraldry of choice would be: -

On a sable field, a sable sinister hand revertant, majeur rampant.
  3. does leadership work on marnid and borcha?

Their leadership skill might affect the number of soldiers you can leave with Marnid or Borcha when you separate.

    Or it might not.
  4. do you listen to music when playing mount and blade?

Classical music provides a fantastic juxtaposition to the extreme violence in-game, a la that scene in Platoon, or that scene in Raging Bull.

My favourite is Johann Pachelbel's Canon.
  5. Borcha & Marnid - I noticed something tactical....

I believe their position on the ladder affects how likely they are to be part of your starting army, yes. But I also think their behaviour is determined by their weaponry, and not by their ladder position. It used to be the case that both Borcha and Marnid ran off to the fore and ignored my orders. I then removed Marnid's missile weapons, leaving him only with a lance, sword and shield. Since then, only Borcha goes off by himself with his throwing axes. Marnid obeys my "hold this ground" command.
  6. Rescue the Daughter Quest

A suggestion for capturing Knights (or the enemy nobleman): get a jousting lance. Bludgeoning damage with couched bonuses can often KO them in one strike.
  7. Mount & Blade Merchant's guide

Didn't he say something like: "I know not with what weapons WWIII will be fought, but WWIV will be fought with clubs and rocks."?

But really, he should have mentioned teenage martians or gigawatt lasers... the man had no poetry in his soul.
  8. Attack of the captions!

The Vaegir Equestrian Synchronised Swimming Team proved to be somewhat less of a hit than expected, drawing a crowd of one.

    Or

Temujin: "Erm... guys... Remember I tried to explain to you the difference between Polo and Water Polo..."
  9. update ??

I had to laugh at the thought (from the 100 years war mod website) that Highlanders would fight for the English against the French. Vice versa perhaps.
