A bit of a pain, but the likely suspect is a corrupt download, it can happen, re download and it should be fine.
PoP loads fine normally and is very stable, though can be a little slow at startup depending on machine spec.

If your archiver reports an error, then the file is incomplete and useless, because your download was interrupted. You need to redownload. If your browser cached the download and immediately returns you the same file, you'll need to clear the browser cache. See your browser help to see how to do this.
When your download is finished, look at the size of the file you got and compare the file size as listed on Nexus. They should be the same and when you open it, there should be no archive errors. Then you'll know you had a good download.
