  1. Is there a way to gain/recuit lords with Manpower disabled?

    ganso 说:
Thats exactly it, when many lords answer you with the "Long live...", usually the faction is pretty stable, and you should move on and try to convince lords from another faction. I finally managed to get a couple of lords to join me, but I had to try it about 3~5 times, even with the right answer, good relations and 99 rtr.

I appreciate the information thnx ganso

First you have to ask him how he feels about his liege, if he allows you to try and convince him there will be an option asking for his support on the "throne of Europe", and then there will be 5 or 6 different reasons that you can use to convince him, but I'm not sure how much they would affect the result. After that he will tell you whether he's going to join you or stay loyal to his liege, and that's the part where I still haven't got through.

Then it seems in my case, as I've continued talking to other Lords, they must be happy with their Liege as they've replied "Long Live...." whoever their King is.
Thanks for the reply as that was what I was looking for & answers my question.
  3. Is there a way to gain/recuit lords with Manpower disabled?

I had the dialogue opportunity and tried, although I couldn't convince any of the lords yet. And I have 93 of RTR and 20+ of relations, I guess I chose the wrong option when trying to convince them.

Can you be more specific on which dialogue string you are referring to so I can compare to what I have tried?

Have other people been able to get other factions' Lords to join their Player Kingdom using this mod with Manpower turned Off?

Hmm, as far as I know, you should be able to recruit lords from other faction by asking them to join you... well, at least you should be able to ask them in the first place. I don't remember we've implemented anything that denies the player such possibility. How much Right to Rule do you have?

    33 RTR

My main question/concern is that I cannot find anything which looks as if it would even initiate a conversation to join my kingdom.

I've tried during war, while not at war, with low relations, high relations, in the field, at their castles ( etc...), but simply have either missed it or cannot find it any options.

I thought one time I was going to get lucky when I asked one general to speak in private (most of the ones I ask refuse), & he agreed. I then asked him about how he feels about his king, but that led to nothing as well as he stated something like "Long live King X"

Do I need a certain amount of RTR before that option comes up?

Have other people been able to get nobles to join their Player Kingdom using this mod with Manpower turned Off?

If, yes, then what specifically needs to be done? What are the literally steps & text menus/options you are using?

Dude if you want to recruit other faction lords with relation 50+ than you are insane! If that where so I would go and do quests with all lords of Europe 1200 and recruit them all -.=  That was the stupiest suggestion I ever heard on Europe 1200 forum

    I didn't make any suggestions.
I was merely asking a question & gave some examples of what I have tried.
  7. Is there a way to gain/recuit lords with Manpower disabled?

Using version 0.14 w/ a clean install I am not playing with Manpower as I didn't want to have Lords flipping side at the onset of losing their last holdings, but I thought I would still have the ability to attempt to recruit factions' lords if I had good relations (ie 50+) with them. However...
  8. Troop type trees & Kingdom culture

So if I understand correctly, what you are saying is that regardless of where you start, regardless of if you were once a noble of faction X, that upon founding your own kingdom you are no longer considered Irish/English/Germany etc...... but instead will now belong to a type of default Feudal Western European faction that gets a generic tree for Seargent/Nobles, correct?

Furthermore that you believe "Feudal" option (western european) is in place, but that the "Arabic"/"Islamic" has probly not been added, right?

    Thanks again for replies
  9. National Order of Calatrava taking ownership of Pamplona?

    thnx for the reply

that's what it looks like so far based upon the behavior I am seeing (other Orders also have Cities and Villages as well, for quite some time actually); however, that was the first time I was able to specifically verify that no other unit was present from the beginning to the end of the siege except for the single unit from the Order of Calatrava.
  10. National Order of Calatrava taking ownership of Pamplona?

Running version .14 From the Info page it meantions that ""Orders can only hold castles. If an Order conquers a town, or a castle with a village beloning to it, they will not keep the town and the villages, only the castle. All Towns and villages will go to their liege faction instead."" In a...
  11. Troop type trees & Kingdom culture

Running Version .14 It seems that your Seargent/Noble troop tree will never change, but that the serf/militia troop trees will always be based upon the original fief culture; hence, the culture that I am classified as is critical since it dictates my top tier troops throughout the life of the...

If I have created my own Kingom & wanted to assign fiefs, does Europe 1200 modify or alter the vanilla reputation gain/loss for assigning fiefs?

    No.

    Thanks for the reply.

Side Note: Where can I find these values in Europe 1200 (I was using TweakMB), and it did not "find" them.

No clue, maybe Europe 1200 isn't compatible with TweakMB or something like that.

Although other areas of TweakMB seem to be compatible. The reputation for assigning fiefs does not.
That's what I was afraid of, as I relied upon TweakMB to alter that parameter (reputation gain/loss for handing out fiefs) in vanilla Warband.

Just got the .13 and am really impressed with it.

  14. Considering buying Warband, just a few queries!

In line with the other suggestions to get a better handle on the multiplayer you should indeed go to the servers which have unlimited lives & low respawn times to be able to get back into the fight more quickly.

Take note of the rules of the server to now whether or not they have friendly fire enabled & if so whether or not it hurts you or the other player. The speed of the melee, base money, time, etc....

Note, that in the "Siege" type games many will give the defenders 5 lives, but the attackers have unlimited lives, whereas others have unlimited for both the attacker and defender.

There's enough people playing multiplayer to find games.

No, you do not need to have the original M&B.

There are some noticeable differences in some of the mods as other have pointed out that can change the maner in which you might chose to play (persistant vs non-persistant level/equipment being the more obvious) when compared to the 'standard' version of the game.

In native each match you start over with whatever value in money the Admin setup the system to be 1000-1500 typical & then keep in mind that for each kill you can make additional money as well as simply surviving gives bonus such as keeping the weapons/shield that you pick up from those who died in the battle, as one example.

    Hope that helps.
