  1. 2h units are useless unless archers get nerfed

In the time period this is based on the full plate armor was not yet a thing so archers were pretty darn deadly. And even when it became a thing we still had Agincourt.

What is the timeframe of Bannerlord? Early medieval?

During the crusades, the Arabs did not manage to pierce the European armor (mail+gambeson) with their curved bows.
Only hit in arms and legs were the armor was thinner have a CHANCE to pierce at CLOSE (less than 100m) range.

Agincourt is about the terrain and weather. Arrows were still not able to pierce the armor.
  2. Item prices need to be lowerd relative to upgrade cost of units

    What? What would that help?

So that money has a value in the game? At the moment the loot that a single unit drops can cover its upgrade cost 100x times.
There is no point in having fiefs if you walk around with multiple millions of coins you earned by selling loot.
  3. 2h units are useless unless archers get nerfed

Archers should not be able to pierce higher level amor. And should not be able to pierce medium level amor on high range.
  4. Item prices need to be lowerd relative to upgrade cost of units

Item prices need to be lowered This is needed so the value of items a unit can drop can not be higher than the upgrade cost of this unit. So the drop of a t3 unit should not exceed its upgrade cost. If the upgrade costs 200, the value of the items it can drop need to be in that range.
  5. My kingdom declaring war randomly

This is what I don't get though. It's been so freaking long since warband. It shouldn't be that hard for game developpers to put this kind of thing in the game. Especialy over that long time. it seems they used all their time since warband to upgrade the graphics. Don't get me wrong, I am loving the game. But the underlying game mechanics are hardly changed.
Development time is less then you think. As far as we know they rebuild their engine twice. So years of development did not went into the game.
  6. How do you transition to / establish your own kingdom?

If you follow the flag quest until you get the 3 parts, then the person you talk to allows you to go start a kingdom as well.

I know that. It is more about how to a really establish your kingdom. The first steps after you have a kingdom.

So what the player should do to survive and prosper and not die.
  7. How do you transition to / establish your own kingdom?

talk to any enemy nobleman or noblewoman; don't even have to talk to enemy faction leader and an option to propose peace is in one of the dialog options; then you barter for peace.

Ahh. These dialogs love to crash. that why I avoided it. I try it out.
  8. How do you transition to / establish your own kingdom?

You you take a hit to relations with all the faction clans when you leave either way might as well take the fiefs with you. Then pay the 5-10k for peace.

But how do I make peace? The button is greyed out.
  9. How do you transition to / establish your own kingdom?

As far as I understand if I leave the kingdom where I am vassal from I lose all my fiefs. Fiefs are mostly useless as gold from loot is infinite and you can recruit troops everywhere. But I still need at least one for the quest. This means after I left my liege, I need to conquer a castle...
  10. Is there any point of having a castle or city?

Well from loot I always had somewhere to the measure of 5k. Now I own 2 castles and a town I got 160k pretty easily. Also getting influence is much easier with fiefs.

I get 30k to 100k loot per battle.
  11. Going to War/Influence

So i finally made my own kingdom, managed to get 2-3 enemy lords to join it but now when i go to war against another kingdom I lose 250-300 influence? Why? This seems broken because then I can't call any of my Lords army to me due to lack of influence. When I was a vassal I never saw this happen to the ruler of the kingdom why does it happen to the player?

Also so far the only way i can seem to declare war is by attacking a village of another faction. I see in the diplomacy tab there's buttons to declare war but none of them are active. Feature not implemented yet?

If there's any going to war tips let me know because right now the only way i can do it is by attacking a village.

If you attack a village/fief of somebody you are at peace with, you loose 300 influence. You need to start the war differently.
  12. My kingdom declaring war randomly

I Think it happens if a vassal attacks somebody.
  13. Is there any point of having a castle or city?

In the current patch there is no benefit of owning fiefs. You get infinite gold from loot anyway.
  14. Need More Info Since todays it crashes on start.

The game did work fine for me until today: Since today it crashes on start. 1. I met the hardware requirements as I already have played dozens of hours smooth on high graphics 2. I reinstalled the game 3. I verified game files 4. I downloaded and run the specified executables. 5. I removed...
  15. Night Battles. How to see anything?

Have you tried setting your lighting quality higher and playing with your shading?

Yes and that makes the black grey instead.
