We drove 30min outside of Vegas. There was a glare over Vegas but it was some of the best skies I've ever seen. No clouds, wind or moon.

Spent 5 days in Vegas for Eve Vegas. It was a blast. Wednesday night was dinner and star gazing which was phenominal. Thursday we threw axes and other random stuff for 3 hours and Saturday night got all fancy for a nightclub. I couldn't make it last year so it was a really nice time catching up with friends.

Reinstalled Borderlands 2 on new PC; I forgot how much fun I have had with this.

That's great, can you see such a thing with the naked eye? I suppose you must have, unless you were carrying a pair of powerful binoculars  . I've never looked up at a clear night sky in a rural area, so I've no idea what's possible (and my eyesight beyond 3 metres is not great without glasses).

Yes you can see it easily without binoculars- it is the brightest man-made satellite.

Beautiful sunset tonight and walking home from the corner store I saw the ISS and another satellite move on 90 degree paths, intersect perfectly and moved away from each other. It was a little surreal.

This last year has been awesome - the last few, not so much. I can't really complain about that.
