Sir Devlyn 说:
A faction needs property to respawn. If you take all their property, they can't respawn. You will still need to hunt down any stray lords running around, and if they take a castle, they can start respawning again. Once you take all castles and defeat/ capture all lords, the faction will be eliminated.
Over time, lords of that faction will start joining the remaining factions.
thanks. I don't have to make a new topic for this then.
I do have some other questions, related to beating factions.
I'm with the Nords. But I've been on the defense all the time: Nords have single digit armies, and are at war with every other faction, while the other factions are ( mostly ) at peace with each other.
- so what is an 'army' actually? Nords have 7, Kergit 17, Swadians 17, Rhodoks 12, and Vaegirs 16. But I don't believe those numbers: at a certain point Rhodoks were supposed to only have 5, but there were 7 Rhodok lords besieging my Grunenwald castle.
- respawning of armies, and especially the increase of the size of the war parties, what are the factors? Nords always seem to have ~ 60 to 70 armies, and are always beaten by ~ 110 armies of other factions. I just fenced off 1500 Vaegirs at Rivacheg, it took me 8 battles to make them abandon the siege.
- how can I retain conquered castles within my faction? I cannot station my own troops in it, or can I? There's only a handfull of ( smaller ) Nord armies, and 50+ ( larger ) hostile armies. Whenever I succesfully attack a castle, it's never kept in the hands of the Nords. I have taken Tibault castle for a least a dozen times by now.
